Hi Everyone,

We experienced this on our MKV's.

If you have different wheels and tires you can simply re calibrate through iDrive.
You will be able to select your new wheel size. Here you will see the option "Other".
Select "Other" and drive the car around per the instructions via iDrive till the car re-learns.

It will also re-learn tire pressure so make sure you have that corrected to your desired tire pressure as well.

Our MKV with the KW V3's and EDC kit had no issues at all.

Hope this helps as it did resolve the dash lights we had with our springs/ wheels and tires!
thx! was able to get the tire size/tpms working... everything looks connected, but i may have damaged a wire somewhere.

We are planning to use
F275/30/20
R295/30/20

These are about 20mm Wider and .3 to .5 taller tire. We will see what happens.

I listed in a post about 20" tires sizes all the different heights -

Here is the information, I am not saying anything is correct or what to use but it was easy to put all the width and height measurements in one spot.

The thing is, your outside diameter is not the same. A 275/30 is going to have a different circumference than a 295/30. The speeds of the rear wheels will be slower than the front wheels. That's what's tripping the computer up. Width isn't important. Circumference is. The "30" of the sidewall is a percentage of the width. It's not a standard 30 mm tall. You need to step the front down to a 265, and buy it with a 35 sidewall. Then the circumference of front and rear will be a lot closer, and the computer won't trip up.

That's only relevant to TPMS, it won't affect the problems the OP is having.

Most cars with staggered tires are already mismatched, even on their stock tires. They just need to be close enough to be within the tolerance of the stability control software. Normally anything within a few % will be fine.

Stock staggered 19" setup on my M2 Comp varies 2.1% front to back. Stock staggered 19" setup on the Supra varies 2.1% front to back. The 20" tires that the OP upgraded to vary 2.7% front to back. That is minor enough that it shouldn't matter at all.

update on this... so was able to read the code. seems like one of the front left sensors:

nothing seems disconnected, so I guess somehow damaged.
Yep, that is about what I would have suspected, but it's good to have the specific location so you know where to look for the problem or apply a fix. Hope it can be done without a trip to the dealer!

Hey guys, just wanted to follow up and let you know that this was fixed... a pinched wire! ā€ā™‚

but, at least I learned that my wheel and tire sizes are supported by the ecu.

Cool -- did you have to get replacement wiring or just repair/splice?

Hey everyone, first post on the forum, but been following for a while... not sure if this has been discussed, but when installing 20ā€ wheels/tires and lowering springs, the A90 pops up tire size and chassis messages. Iā€™m sure the guys at Titan and Induction have seen it. Is this some we can clear/set ourselves? Any input is very appreciated!

I just installed H&R springs on mine .1inch front 3/4 rear and I'm getting this chassis msg..what should I do?
Are you still having this problem ? I had the same problem. I know exactly what it might be. My mechanic fixed it for free. But the dealer will charge you an arm and a leg to fix it. And itā€™s a super easy fix.

Hey, there has been a few things that cause this... some have had damaged wheel acceleration sensors, or level sensors. In my case, it was a damaged dampener harness. Are you able to read the codes?

No I didnā€™t read the code. My mechanic took a look under the car and saw that the leveling sensor was misaligned when the car was lowered or when it went down from the lift

thatā€™ll do it! i think this is the most common reason for the error after a spring install
