How's the quality of the mount? Is it sturdy? And where in MD are you? I have a black LE and would be cool to see it side by side with yours
:dunno: not mines, just a random vid I saw on YouTube.

I know the thread says front license plate bracket... I hope you guys could help me out with how your factory rear license plate is held in place by?? I told the dealer not to drill anything on the car. My hard plates came in the mail and need to mount them on the car. I looked in the plastic bag with screws. It looks like the long screw might be the one to hold the bracket in place and shorter one to screw the plate on the bracket. Can someone take a picture of it and post it?

Does the Supra use a typical BMW rear bracket like this?

If so, there are two long coarse thread screws to attach the bracket to the car, and then 2-4 short screws to hold the plate to the bracket.

Yes, it does. The difference is that BMWs have those metal thread where the bracket is suppose to mount on to with a screw. But on the Supra, there is two dimples on the rear bumper to indicate where to drill. I guess the long screws will thread onto something behind the bumper? I just wanted to make sure before I started drilling and stuff

For those of you in California, have any of you looked into this vinyl license plate by License Plate Wrap. It's apparently a vinyl sticker that been approved as a pilot program in California. If this is legit, I wouldn't mind using this and placing the "license plate" vinyl sticker in the middle section of the front bumper on the bottom where it's black. This way, it's technically on the front of the vehicle but it doesn't ruin the look of the front with a traditional license plate put on by a bracket that clearly wasn't part of the design process. I'm not affiliated with License Plate Wrap in any way but I saw this on the Tesla forums and thought I'd suggest it here in case someone has more experience with it.

How long is the Supra's tow hook? I'm running a tow hook license plate mount kit from US Mill Works on my BMW M2. I'm trying to find out if I can reuse the same kit for the Supra without clerance issue.

Fuq front plates not getting any on mine glad I won't have to put up with them. And this is the EXACT reason why I have my cars registered to my home state while living in California. Emissions and Front Plates...

The Supra bracket is very similar but not identical to the bracket shown in your post. The Supra bracket has a BMW part number. Two long screws are used to attach the bracket to the bumper and either two or four smaller screws are used to attach the plate to the bracket. The two long screws are self drilling and most dealers would use an electric driver with a phillips head bit to drill/drive the screws through each of the two holes in the bracket and into the dimples in the bumper. The Supra bracket does not have the four embedded nuts to accept small bolts that would be used to attach the plate. Instead, the small screws (not bolts) included with the frame screw through the plate directly into holes in plastic bracket without any metal support.
