Has anyone got apple CarPlay sorted? I have supra connect done but not sure how to activate or use the CarPlay function.

I haven't got an iPhone but managed to get the Supra Champion at my dealers connected. Just connected through the Bluetooth and it seemed to work pretty quick, I think there was maybe a section in the Media part of the system? Don't think we needed any special apps or anything, just seemed to connect and go! Maybe needed to be in the wireless charging tray? I dunno... Sorry I can't be more specific!

Don't have either working. It's fine though, Nav works and bluetooth phone audio works so I just play youtube on my android.
Do your built in apps work? If I load the weather or news app, it says "Not connected". I'm guessing this is something the dealer should have setup and have not done so?
Supra Connect would not accept my vin, so I emailed customer services. My vin now works, but it says that the car should display an authorisation code. Nothing has arrived to the car, so I'm guessing the mobile connection for the Supra connect and Apps has not been setup yet.

Took a day for car to receive codes. As for Apple play yes has Spotify and messages whatsapp etc all working now. It’s pretty cool tbh. Better than the system in my Jaguar E-Pace

My car doesn't have any of the built-in apps loaded at all. The "Connected Services" tab is blank with nothing in it. Not sure if you need to have Supra Connect app to get it started?
Hearing all the functions gained from Car Play is tempting me back to iPhones... Will wait and see if switching would be worth it or not. Built in nav looks good and bluetooth works well enough for music I think.

I didn't mean the iphone apps, I meant the ones built into the car. News, weather and local wiki search. Do those work for you?

Hi there Gaz,
I've just picked up my Supra Pro and I can't see any Apple CarPlay options on the multimedia. Also, the Supra Vonnect app claims that the mobile network connection has been deactivated for my car.
How did you connect yours? And, is Supra Connect vital to make Car Play work?
Sadly, my Supra Champion tried all he could but just ran out of ideas. I called the assistance number on the Supra Connect app and I ended up being talked at in German.

I've been considering if it's worth buying an old iphone just to use CarPlay. The lack of Android Auto is very frustrating as I just don't find the BMW interface very intuitive and the satnav is out dated compared to Goole Maps.
But if there's a lot of faff in having to ring people to set it up, i'm not sure it's worth it. In my Civic, Android Auto is literally plug and play.

Did you manage to get your issue sorted out? I still have nothing in Connected Services. Tech support seem to think there may be an issue with the SIM in my car. :-(.

Haven't really tried tbh... Will check it out again at the weekend and maybe send off an email or something to try and get it sorted.
