With the rumors of "chalky dashboards", seatbelt mount recall on 7??? cars, seats, etc.. should I be concerned with an LE that has been hung up ports and transfer lots? I have a deposit on an LE but I am not sold on it being an early production run versus some of the later Premiums that are showing up just fine. Thoughts?

A bunch of us are in the same boat. I see some value in owning an LE over a premium but I am also adding an extended warranty just in case.

So my original car is still lost in the upside down. Iā€™m flying Friday to pick this one up instead. For those that are still waiting I wish the Supra gods smile upon you soon.

It does not appear anyone knows other than Toyota.
My dealer today said area rep said Monday that Toyota pulled all estimated delivery times. Said they wonā€™t know theyā€™re getting it until loaded on transport. Iā€™ve lost hope.

Sorry to hear. I wonder if that's nationwide.

I spoke to the regional office in Cincinnati, the distribution department, this morning. What they are saying is that the quality control actually did not occur at the port. The quality control is now going to happen in Princeton, Indiana for those of us here in the Midwest. They inferred that rather than waiting for parts at the port they would ship to the distribution area until the parts came in. They did not know how long it would take for parts to arrive.

Iā€™m excited to get my car but if this thing pushes deep into October I just canā€™t justify buying it and storing it for the next six months until Spring, as I may only get a couple of weeks until the November snow.

Hang in there itā€™s worth the wait. If no parts are needed and passes QC car moves along. Was told QC inspection doesnā€™t take long. Just getting
It done on each car.

Decision Time...my Red LE, if youā€™ve been reading, isnā€™t here yet so no news there.

But then this happened. I entered a raffle which required a donation to a childrenā€™s hospital about a month ago. The winner had the chance to buy a white LE at MSRP, which is what I had originally hoped to get.

I just got a call tonight that the winner declined to buy the car and that I was the next on the list!

I have been getting used to the idea of getting a red LE but Iā€™m most likely going with the white. Iā€™m making my decision my tomorrow. The only downside to the white one is the shipping cost.

Any input?
