BTW LS3twins... here is a comparison pic of the mounting tabs on a reproduction mirror cap that speed industry currently sells, and a pic of the same view on the ebay version...

You are more than welcome to try it out but just letting you know that cheap China carbon fiber will have a low cost UV protection coat and will most likely fade pretty quick. The quality will not match the type of car it's going on. I would not put that on my car but that's my opinion. If it does fit you are happy to say I was wrong. Haha

UV is an easy fix as my brother does paint and body, so a red scrubby and a quick spray with some quality clear will do the trick... if they fit... they are on order and have shipped from the land of copies, fakes, and intellectual property theft... fingers crossed...

Haha. Pretty accurate description on the origination of these. Well I hope they do fit for you and let us know how they do.

What are you guys ok to deal with in terms of a fix for this? Fastest way would be something that uses 3M doubled sided tape to affix in its location. or do you want something completely molded in to the actual mirror cap or door.

I would be happier with the whole mirror cap, but I think it would be OK with a stick on thing.

I think it would depend on how integrated it looked. I'm OK with either option, but, would want to make sure it wasn't ugly.

Could make something similar to what they've done for Porsche's.

I have seen these and thought of another option, use some universal gurney flap roll. Cut it to length and mount it in the same manner that the diffuser element is on the Porsche specific version. This is not a bad way to go, being that the rubber can contour easily to the piece on the car, provided it works as well.

Thats what I did. See page 4 of this thread....not pretty but works great. Would rather something more integrated like what's available for the 911 from Blackmill Performance or AWE.

Okay, so now there is a whistling coming from driver side mirror - can hear it even with the windows up...

Hey guys,
I been working with a few local folks to find a solution on the wind noise. We finish our 3d scanning last week. We are currently in the design phase. I will share more info once we finalize the design. Looking forward to help resolve this horrible wind noise at 40mph!

I am obviously blind. :D I am glad to hear it does work though.
