View attachment 16813 View attachment 16813 First off I went with the ProTune as I was not ready to make the dive to a full ECU flash and deal with the warranty side. Once I get further down the road mileage wise, or we get more reliability data I may be inclined to go that route. But thats another story, for another time. Keep in mind, im writing this while maybe only putting 75 miles on the car post tune.

Sound: WOW. I need to get a clip, but thats not really easy when all you want to do is drive. The car has such a good sound with just the downpipe, I would have a hard time justifying a aftermarket exhaust. The sound as the the gears change at high RPM's just makes me smile ear to ear. Yes there are other reasons to do the exhaust, but for me I don't think that is needed.

Throttle: The car is so much more responsive through the entire range. It was already a blast to drive, but having that little extra is making a big difference. Im not sure this car will ever see 7th or 8th gear again......

Issues well.....i did have a CEL even while using the O2 spacer. Full disclosure it was not the O2 spacer provided by Titan. A friend of mine owns a shop local and did the work for me, and provided the spacer. We got a CEL on the dyno, and again when I made the 1st drive. During that 1st drive there was some revving times and several back to back WOT pulls. Either way it cleared and after more hard driving it never came back. Its something I will keep a eye on.

Dyno Results: I know this is what everyone really cares about which is why I saved it for last. We did a total of 9 pulls playing with the different maps etc. But here is the bottom line and the results and a map. This was done on a dynojet, and other factors could play into the numbers such has weather/dyno config etc.

Base line 335 whp, and 374 ft/lbs
Just Downpipe stock map 351 whp and 382 ft/lbs
Downpipe and Tune 399 whp (rounding up) 453 ft/lbs

While I was hoping to see 425ish, and it would be easy to be disappointed the curve seems to match Titans, and the car still hauls the mail and is a blast to drive. So I spent 30 seconds being sad, and every second after with a smile. And speaking of Titan and Ashley their support is top notch.

Also if your ever i need for a shop on the Atlanta area look no further than 2J Racing

Did you guys try clearing codes with scanner or just wait for the to extinguish themselves?

When a permenent code is set on this car, and is emissions related, you cant reset it with a scanner... Good information though, thanks!

I have this too. Itā€™s similar to the Race Chips piggy back for the B58 BMW cars I would think. I reached out to Race Chips and got some info.

I put on the Titan Tune yesterday. I have the downpipe as well but havenā€™t put it on. On map 3 it is already a beast. Traction is an issue lol. Canā€™t wait to throw downpipe on and use a different map.

Appreciate the detailed write up! Great information and the dyno results look great.
Depending on the conditions mentioned we have been seeing results pretty consistent within 10whp of your results.

Larry, We recommend Map 5 for best performance. Regardless of downpipe, the downpipe itself will result in more whp/tq.

All maps can be run on 93 Octane, however, some users may find they like the results of Map 4 over Map 5, so on and so forth. Map 7 will WORK on 93 octane but won't be as efficient as it would be if you were to run 100 octane.

Good info here, guys and gals. Love seeing how easily this new chassis is progressing.

Hows it been with that tune since? Honest opinion and experience. This is what I am looking at doing also.

I cannot speak for the OP but I have been running mine with an AFE catted downpipe (did not want a CEL) and it has been great. No issues whatsoever, car pulls much harder compared to stock and reliability, which was most important to me, has been maintained. I drive roughly 60 miles everyday and its been good to go. I do wish there was an app to change maps easier but all in all it is the best thing I have done to the car so far. Hope this helps!
