Chassis looks like it's likely okay, but that's a guess. But yeah, there are many other factors that come into play here (track insurance, parts availability, etc).

That sucks, I wonder if insurance will cover this type of damage / track use? Slightly different topic, but I recall my lawyer friend saying that if you wreck your car for street racing that they will deny your claim.

Depends if he had track insurance or not. Looks like he would have walked away nonetheless

Normal insurance will not cover this, only will be covered if he has track insurance specifically as stated above.

I'm surprised this guy got one considering some of the negative comments he posted in the past.

I'm sure he didnt get it because he really wanted one. He got one because it'll generate views and possible subscribers.
Exactly Iā€™m seeing YouTubers get this Supra and werenā€™t even interested in it until they realize it wasnā€™t too hard get one and of course for the views as well.

I'm a bit surprised the king of clickbait got the car. I had to really READ the title 4 times before clicking on the video b/c "taking delivery" is such a loose term on YouTube.

Shock n awe! That's all these Youtubers want for more subscribers. He bought a new car and immediately started rippin on it. This ain't a keeper, this is a beater.

That GT3 RS though..

"... the other route...which... I think we're going to need to do...is ripping the motor out... and puttin in a 2JZ! That's right, the plan for this car is to put a 2JZ in it... build it up, huge turbo... and hopefully make over 1000hp to-the-wheel!"

^^ You know... I love my 2JZ daily car. It's not making 1,000whp but it's brilliant. It's hard not to love any car that has a boosted JZ engine swapped into it.

That having been said it seems kind of like a waste to just rip out the B58C in his MKV before its even been broken in JUST because he doesn't want to even try making big power with it. Tuner outfits are already fast developing parts for it. I'm not saying a 2JZ isn't the end-all-be-all answer because it usually is but... I don't know... maybe at least TRY modifying the new engine and try learning a new engine ECU and architecture first?

His comment about swapping to a manual transmission though... that I've got no criticism at all there. Toyota really needed one at launch.
