Mmm it sounds good. I wonder if it'd be too loud for daily life :p
Startup is kind of raucous haha. It sounds really good, but honestly, the stock muffler in Sport mode is definitely loud enough, at least in the US version lol. I'll be putting the muffler back on haha.

I know I keep teasing you guys, but here's a fun little snippet of when the control arm snapped in half. You can see we had the wheel turned all the way to the left which was likely maximally stressing the LCA. The loud metallic clang is the arm breaking.

Alright here's a video from the big camera of Startup and Revs. You can tell how much louder it is now lol.

Revs are at 1:14ish

I'll be honest, I enjoyed the car with the rear muffler delete ha. With a helmet on, factory exhaust is so quiet you can barely hear it even in Sport.
It also gets way quieter after the revs drop, and goes back to near-silent at idle even without the big rear muffler. Didn't street drive the car enough to say about droning on highway though.

Any pics? Do you have tips still?

Any codes/errors from removing the exhaust flap valves?
Yes from the back you can't tell it's removed. Stock tips in the same location.

I have a full tune so I don't have codes. You could leave it plugged in if you didn't have a way to remove the code. I think it sounds great.

Did you have a muffler shop do it? How much to remove the muffler and transplant the tips?

Yeah it was $179.00 out the door. When I see people dropping $3k dollars on a cat back I cringe a little inside. Haha. "Valve Open" is a fancy way of saying muffler delete. That same $3k is now getting me a big turbo. :headbang:

What always makes me laugh is when they weld on a fancy little resonator and say "exquisitely tuned sound" or "thousands of hours of development".

Awesome, great to know! No drone or discomfort at highway speeds?
My wife doesn't complain about it like she has with previous vehicles so it sounds perfect to me. It might a little up long hills but really not much at all, sounds absolutely amazing. I will have to load a video soon with audio.

Small update:

Visited the Toyota dealership today and got a quick inventory of what's available in the US. The front bumper is available to order and can be delivered in a day, but the hood, door, and quarter panel are all currently not available. No ETA either. I forgot to ask about seat belts and all the other small stuff, but I have a friend that works in Toyota Parts that will give me an itemized list of prices and delivery ETAs for everything I need.
