I can confirm that the car was indeed put into small focus groups and was shown with an RC350, Cayman S, Audi TT, M2, etc. Supposedly it had one of the nicest interiors compared to the others in the group.

Btw, Mr. x73 signed an NDA, so he should be more careful lol.
Hmmm, was Guff in the focus group??? Lol

I was not lol. Would have loved to, but I don't live in California, and I don't think I'm a very neutral person who could help with a focus group haha.

I am still yet to see the car in person myself, camo or otherwise. I've just spoken to a lot of people who have.

Can I crash the next focus group? I'll be in Cali tomorrow and I'm sure it wont be suspicious if I pull up in a mkiv :hmm::ninja:

Yes I just got that in my email today from the same sender! It is actually a Survey to continue making parts for 1986-1992 and 1993-1998 Supras. That is great news that Toyota is considering still manufacturing parts for these cars!

I just filled out that survey. Told them to bring back the v160, Nonvvti GTE and TRD diff. If not then don't even bother with the program.

There is/was, but things can change. Getrag is also owned by Magna now so; it's actually not even called Getrag anymore.

I thought there was bad blood between Toyota and Getrag?
There probably is, but in the the survey the "identified" certain parts.

Brake Booster
Headlights
Drive shaft
A Turbo part
etc.

All pointless parts imo other than headlights. Dash parts and moldings would be nice to have, but if these are the parts they identified then a complete yawn fest. The cost to produce these high ticket items would probably be high but these are the parts people care about.

Couldn't disagree more. The aftermarket has already begun to pick up the void left with the v160 in new manufactured parts from Jacks transmission and Granna's Racing with his bolt on 6-speed that is just as stout as the v160; same with the diff. Plenty of gte's floating around that one can purchase and build to stronger than oem spec.....Big ticket items like that have alternatives through the aftermarket companies. Though having a brand new Toyota v160, gte, diff etc... would be nice, there are appropriate alternatives.

If a mkiv supra owner needs discontinued rear quarter windows, discontinued side windows, discontinued trim/molding, discontinued electrical components (i.e. odometers),discontinued door lock mechanisms, etc....where is he/she to go for those? Ebay to hope and pray a part comes up soon?

All items to keep the mkiv supra running and looking as new as possible that the aftermarket has not provided appropriate options for should be at the top of all mkiv supra owners lists. Anything else after that like new v160s, diffs, lsds, etc... would just be bonuses.
