The dealer charged me 3 hours labor, but spent 4 hours doing the work. The 2 Lexus horns were $223 Cdn (approx $160US), and labor $432 Cdn ($320 US), for an ugly total, including taxes of $766 Cdn (approx $560 US). Like I said in my earlier post, in hindsight, a single dual tone BMW (or plug and play equivalent) would have saved a lot. I couldn’t do the work myself, and couldn’t get either a Toyota or BMW to do it. BUT, my new horn sounds fantastic!
damn this lexus service center is so nice doing that to your car. I am surprised they are allowed to bring in a supra in and work on it..this could result in many legal action issues on their service center

picked up from my local Napa auto parts $22.97 plus tax in CA. Will be installing tomorrow or Sunday. If I can upload a video clip I will. If I can’t I’ll post a link to a sound clip of it.

How was your radar after? Part of bumper removal and reinstallation is the step to recalibrate the radar. That is the only thing that has stopped me from doing this thus far.

No issues with the laser radar sensor.

Thanks.

That makes this easier as I cannot see how to do this without pulling the bumper. I cannot see how someone has replaced it any other way.
Right, there is no other viable way to do it. The bumper has to come off.

Does this void your warranty? Probably a dumb question but figured I'd ask anyways. Thanks. Also would you mind posting a audio clip of your horn Austin?

It shouldn’t unless you short something on install by not disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery. The only thing it may reasonably void is the warranty on the horn circuit components. Anything more and your dealing with a shitty dealership / human being or you completely miffed the install.

Sounds great, I'll be picking this up. Thanks!
you will need to tap into the horn wires but only takes a few minutes. it is NOT A PLUG AND PLAY REPLACEMENT

I just replaced mine with the NAPA/Balkamp FIAMM low note blaster horn. 132 decibels I believe.

Part no: 730-1056
Cost: $20.00
DIY labor time: 1.2 hr
Do you replace the original High note horn with this one or do you add this one to the car so you'll have both a high note and low note horn?

What exactly is required to do this? What the OP did or is it easier than that? Can you PM me step by step if you don't mind? Doesn't have to be super detailed just so I can get a basic understanding. Thanks bro!
