........

I respect the opinions of the og, like ken, theodore, stu etc...but almost everybody else is a keyboard warrior.if I learned something about the mkiv is that for every 1 fast supra there are 10 slow ones(many full of issues and Chinese crap)

Toyota doesn't build fast or exciting vehicles anymore, they are in the market of building reliable vehicles for the masses. Would I have wanted a supra built by toyota? I don't know, Toyota's are heavy, their interiors are crappy...(the gtr are super crappy).

So I am not mad at their decision, I would have been happy with a 2jz with a modern head, and turbos, and have everything else be bmw...
One of the most honest posts I've seen, many that throw tantrums refuse to look at the bigger picture of what Toyota is now vs what they were back in the early 90's. Stock price has tripled, leadership changed. They are the #1 auto manufacturer in the world, they are sticking with what works for the and investing heavily in EV, Hybrid, etc....yes they can "afford" to build an in-house Supra but to make decent sales volume they would risk loss even though the bread and butter cars like the Camry and Rav4 would more than make up for it. Some would say they risked their reputation using BMW for this car but I'm sure somewhere their financial data favored this risk vs in house. I wish it was in house too but I'm over it, I still have other Toyota's in my household other than my MKIV and will continue to buy and support them.

We got it! Finally they were able to break through the issues with closures and limp mode. We got a full clean pull at 14psi and at 20psi. These are just baseline runs and we still have more psi and more timing to go for numbers. I can tell you it's making 550 tq before 4krpm which means this setup is going to be perfect. The twinscroll EFR 9280 comes on way sooner than everyone expected and I'm very happy with the result so far. Part of this is because of the 4" downpipe, external gate manifold design, and properly sized a/r housing.

Stay tuned today for power runs and to find out where the stock fuel system can go just on 100 octane. No meth, no nitrous.

Sound up and enjoy!

Yes and sorry for the delay but I have been working non-stop on the car since Thursday. So these are the new modifications:

Turbosmart Eboost2
Tial 50mm BOV
Snow Performance Stage 3 kit
Deutsch Connectors for all wiring
Kooks Catback Exhaust System

We were having an issue with the previous boost controller regulating boost so I ended up getting the Eboost2 and it works great now. When moving to external gates and large turbo we may end up with a situation where the OEM system isn't able to let off excess boost when the throttle is closed so we added a external BOV for safety since we removed 1 of the ways it regulates this.

My last dyno pull it had low fuel and got the same code you did so we called it that night and I drove it home Saturday to wire up everything and install the Snow and EBC in the glovebox and have it look really nice. I spent my time just making sure all the wiring was very clean.

I removed my windshield washer reservoir and measured the capacity against the tank that the Snow kit comes with and the OEM is much larger and tucked away nicely. The OEM tank held a full gallon so I tapped it for 3/8" NPT and installed my meth bung in there and re-installed it. It came out really clean and ran my meth lines so you can barely see them. I installed the pump under the passenger side panel near the windshield so that's hidden too. Now I can just pop the hood and refill right there on the passenger side.

I drove the car to work today and am dropping it back off at CES Motorsports to go for bigger numbers. Basically everything on the car is now 100% ready for John to continue working on the dyno sessions with the guys at Pureboost and MHD.

I should have some good updates Tom as he has scheduled time then to just work on dyno pulls. I think she has over 65 pulls on the dyno so far. Haha

606whp and 642ft-lbs but the meth kit came with nozzles that were too small. New ones on the way tomorrow.

I will probably end up doing a MS109 tune to see the full capability. The 100 octane is just available at a pump near my house so that's what my daily driver tune will be on.

Great gains indeed.
Now curious how the gains are on standard 93 octane.

Pump Gas 93oct numbers on our EFR9280 Supra....... 550whp on mustang dyno equates to about 615-620whp on a dynojet.
