For those other EU Supra owners, just made a video of my exhaust sound.
Unfortunately with my cell phone and fans blowing in the background.

But the bangs are definetely loud when you hear it in person.

Which ECU tune brand did you flash?
Was done with MHD as flash-tool
But it is a custom build map by the people of Custom Import Arts
And my Supra also has an adjusted BMW 330i downpipe installed.

So it is not the Stage1 or Stage2 tune that you can buy from MHD themselves.

Fantastic, thanks so much.

So it appears that the US does have a different rear muffler to the rest of the world.

So, it would appear the market configuration is as follows:

EU:
Rear muffler: 7 933 805 04
Centre section: (1) in below
V-band downpipe
GPF
"quiet"

AU:
Rear muffler: 7 933 805 04
Centre section: (2) in below
Ribbon Clamp downpipe
No GPF
"medium"

US:
Rear muffler: 9 425 817 03
Centre section: (2) in below
Ribbon Clamp downpipe
No GPF
"loud"

I wonder what Japan got?

I cut the silencer part of the exhaust out entirely just past the GPF. It’s louder of course, but not obnoxious and less than any modded US car. Some small pops and bangs on lift off in sport.

I’ve now reattached the original muffler using the BMW official exhaust repair clamps, pending getting an exhaust company to fabricate 2 70mm pipes curved and bent to fit from the GPF to the rear bumper with tips on.

It would seem with the valve open, it has very little effect, as most gas still goes through the silencer as it’s so quiet.

Very interested to hear how you get on! Most of the exhaust mods and comparisons I've seen have been on US cars, so will be interesting to see what's possible with the EU system.

This part (circled red)?

I had it on my C63 and it sounded factory until WOT, then it was a fantastic roar... Was hoping for a similar effect with the A90

No that’s the GPF. That is monitored by a pressure sensor. If you remove it, that is an MOT fail, error code, and possible CEL / limp mode.

I cut downstream, after that, and temporarily removed the whole rear section to the tips including the transverse muffler.

Exactly correct - just the muffler part, just like the video.

As to whether it's too loud, that's highly subjective. I found it fine, but didn't drive it at speed. Another person may think ridiculously loud, another may think quiet. It's not as loud as the US decat cars. The pops and bangs are there but muffled, not like gunfire on the US.

It's a quick and easy item to test and its wholly reversible with the clamps.
The part no is 18.30.7.560.780 70mm clamps. - ~£30 each, you need 2.

The Toyota part no for the exhaust clamps is:

Part number: 90118-WA371

CLAMP NO.1, EXHAUST TAIL PIPE (FOR REAR) , MUFFLER-WITH(OPF)

My Toyota dealer couldn't specify a time for delivery, whereas BMW could source them next day.
