Finally made this video now that my OBD reader arrived, and the screen is ACTUALLY usable :)

Hope this helps some people.




The item I used is the OBDLink MX+ (https://amzn.to/2C0dEfW), but there are most likely cheaper alternatives, but this is the one I used.

When driving at night is the screen too bright? In other words do you need to adjust the brightness anytime you change from driving in bright light to driving at night?

When driving at night is the screen too bright? In other words do you need to adjust the brightness anytime you change from driving in bright light to driving at night?
You can make a shortcut to the brightness screen and change on the fly with no drama if it's too bright at night for you. It is ok for me.

Where is the “video over usb” in the app?

I enabled “video in motion” and did the part of the activation (holding the idrive controller).

However, I was unable to use/view and video...I tried plugging in my phone but I got nothing.

Sounds like I need to enable the usb feature for this to work.
