Safety recall: rearview camera

I just received a letter regarding a safety recall of A90 supra, saying the rearview camera's brightness is set near its lowest setting and the contrast is set near its highest setting.
FINALLY, they are going to solve this display brightness issue!
Anyone else got this in Canada?
Although I'm kinda hesitated to send my car to Toyota dealer.....from the experience I learned recently, they have no idea how to operate supra...I tried to order oil filter and TPMS for the car and they told me there is no sign of getting any parts for the supra. they don't even have a single part for supra in stock, not even an oil filter. They said they can order for me but there is no guarantee when I will get the parts. There is a high chance that I won't be able to get the parts before 2020. No one in the shop has touched the supra yet and every dealer in Canada only sent one mechanic to the supra school campaign for 1-2 days to learn. -.-
Any thoughts guys?

I had a check engine light so I took mine in. They applied the camera fix.... I don't see much of a difference.

As for the dealership.... I think there is allot of learning..... The check engine was not fully diagnosed and essentially they said bring it back if it does it again.

The code was for a minor vacuum leak.

I had mine done when they changed the oil. I did not notice a difference.

As a side note, they need a special lift adapter to change the oil. I would ask before I took my car in

man... you will not notice any difference because the only intention of the recall was to fix the lowest brightness settings that caused blank screen upon restart... in no where it says it'll increase brightness.........

glad they did a good job on your car! my dealer personally told me they only send one technician there and it was a 2 day course.

I asked my dealer about the oil change and they said they have to order oil filter for it and its gonna take a while....also they told me they might have a problem lifting the car because they dont normally work on such low cars . so I just did it myself

Im from Toronto, Canada, i got this safety recall of A90 supra, which i did not take it in yet...not sure if anyone mechanic is certified to work on these new Supra cars. On top of it, i ordered Wheel locks and still waiting for past 2 months to get it...think they went to BMW to chk.

I was trying to order oil filter and TPMS for the supra and the dealer told me GTA does not have a single one in stock. They told me that they don't think they will get it until next year......i was like... wtf...
