Had to win a raffle to get mine at MSRP. Spent $100 on raffle tickets though

I was offered 2.2k under MSRP in Socal area. Still thinking.
Mind me asking what dealership you are working with? I am thinking about purchasing my car next year. PM me, thanks!

MSRP on LE and excellent trade in value with a knockout deal on extended warranty with platinum plus.

Got my LE at sticker, they had 10k in mark up. But the car had been on the floor for a solid couple months so I feel like they wanted to move it.

Got my Premium at MSRP but bought 2 vehicles at the same time...got the color I was holding out for also. On the floor 5 days before I looked at it and 5 minutes after I saw it in person...cash buy helped too, judging from the sales manager's face when when he took the check for over 100k.

Got mine below MSRP, lots of inventory now in socal.
What's the currently "below" discount? I see Pasadena listing $2000 discount for their 1 and only Supra there

That's about how much I got mine for. The dealer I went to had 3 on the lot at the time I purchased.
That's a pretty quick turnaround for a car that had a $5000-$30000 markup in July to a $2000 discount in November

Agreed, wasn't expecting the quick change from dealers either.
Looks like other socal forum members are getting similar quotes looking at the thread so it doesn't feel like I got as lucky as I thought I did.

You did get lucky, most of us paid MSRP or higher.

There was a fella that bought 2 cars last week, Supra and Tacoma truck. He got his Supra at MSRP, only because he bought 2 cars. I think you are a better negotiator though, using a "I only have this much money to spend" tactic. That fella that bought 2 cars CASH, wasn't very convincing that he couldn't afford it and needed a discount LOL

I was actually thinking I would have to pay MSRP but I wasn't in a rush and requested quotes from multiple dealers they ended up completing against each other for about a month. The completing dealers were both willing to go below MSRP as they had more incoming stock in addition to the ones on their lots (the reason why I said there were lots of inventory in socal). Hopefully other members will be able to get good deals moving forward, but yeah I guess I did get lucky reading your story about the other fella :D
