I finally decided to hook up the Vbox and did a few pulls.

It was 45 degrees out and I had a full tank of gas. I was expecting high 4s, but got this on my last run....

I was pleasantly surprised.

1). Sport Mode: ON
2). Traction: Active (didn’t adjust any traction settings)
3). Launch Control: Not Used
4). Downpipe
5). JB4 Map 2

I am guessing with less gas, warmer weather, and playing with the traction settings, I can shave off a decent amount of time.

Any other numbers out there...?

I believe 3.7 has been achieved with your exact setup, but fucking around with a manual launch.
3.9 has been done bone stock by one of the magazines.
Ya, 3.9 was done by the mags. However, I am guessing that is/was in ideal conditions. My conditions were pretty far from ideal....

(I wasn’t writing to say how great it was, I was just impressed in cold weather the tires were able to do much at all).

3.7 definitely seems achievable!

Actually, Car and Driver got 3.8 and a 12.3 on a stock vehicle. No launch control.

The variation might be caused by a difference in surface. Were these runs on a street or on a prepped strip?

I am pretty confident the magazines test on strips, but I guess I don’t know for sure.

I was on a blacktop country road in the middle of no where. It was pretty level, but the Vbox said that actually ended the run 2.64 meters higher than I started.

I just took a look at the article that was quoted earlier to see if anything was mentioned. There are no details of track prep, but they do mention that their testing was done on a test track. Considering that you were on bare street, I'd say sub 4 seconds is very nice in the conditions at the time of the pulls

Also, I’m pretty sure they average runs in opposite directions. I haven’t bothered to look but they usually outline their test methodology and instrumentation.
