I actually did think that I'd accidentally pressed my horn the first time that I heard the noise. Glad that I'm not the only one who thought it sounds like a horn.

After spending a lot more time with the car, my experience has been that it makes the sound at low speed and generally only when the brakes are cold / wet. For example, when I'm pulling out of my garage in the morning it will make the noise, but by the time I get to work and am slowing making my way to my parking spot there, it doesn't make the noise even if I apply the brakes at the same speed as ~20 minutes before.

I have noticed a slight "rattle" noise that sounds like it is coming from wheel wells during low speeds. not sure it is when I am braking or not. not able to pinpoint yet. might only be in sport mode?? I do think this may only occur when vehicle is somewhat "cold".

Hahahaha I’m so glad it’s not just me. Was leaving work this morning and heard honking when braking. Had to search if anyone else experienced this. Reminds of that one prank where they rig the brake pedal to the horn

Mine did this when new, I only have about ~5000KM now, but they don't do it anymore.

The Brembos on my RC-F were terrible (Corvettes are the same) sounded like a school bus all the time. No honk, but squeaking/squealing under light pressure constantly - whether cold/hot, dry/wet, no difference. I'd often pull up to a light and see everyone looking around like "that can't be that car that sounds that bad but I don't see a semi-tractor?"

I didn't even think anything at all about the "honk" backing out of the garage with these... I guess I've already acclimated.

I have an awful screeching noise from my front passenger side, only at low speed braking

After 2K miles I’m over these horny brakes (when cold) ?. Anyone find the exact source of the noise (front or rear pads, rocks) and a fix?

Not yet having a Supra it is hard to say exactly by my BMW X3MC has this issue as well. For me it only happens in reverse when cold/wet.

One of my neighbors has an Audi and makes the same exact noise.

I think it is a thing with German brakes.

Note - I switched the pads on mine (to low dust made in Japan) and it still makes the sound.

I've gotten a small stone stuck in my front wheel brake shield twice already! There needs to be a fix for the heat shield, the odd shape lets these stones in.
This has happened to be at least a dozen times and a serious hassle!
Have heard that if you bend out the heat shield it can help prevent stones from getting stuck.
Not sure this makes sense as the stone size just gets a little bigger and still gets stuck. There has to be a better fix for this COMMON issue

Just brake hard and it'll come lose. It's common across lots of platforms.

Or go with @zrk recommendation. Just buy a new car.
