i'd suggest getting your own - I have five cars with them and have been for over 15 years, but it was around 1k.

I've been with Shannon's for my Supras, work cars and bikes and the price has always been competitive. Never the cheapest. Had a couple of claims over the years and they have always been excellent to deal with. (I don't have an MKV) I always recommend them.

I did a quick estimate for insurance on QBE and AAMI and both quotes are pushing 4K!
I got no demerits, full NCB and live in Sydney... in my 30’s.

Still no word when my car will come, thinking I should cancel.

Mate, try Allianz, should be more reasonable.

Has anyone bought one in a company name and give me a run down on the process? eg Do you reserve in your name, and then when consierge calls tell them you want it in the company name or do you have to reserve in the comany name withe the Company CRN? etc

Spoke to the dealer this morning, supposedly 300 units til Sept 2020, and an additional 300 til Sept 2021.

Would be interesting to see if they actually stick to that and keep them exclusive.
Is this still the case, next allocation of 300 units in Sep 2020? Anyone heard any different - you would think they would just start pumping them out like any other production car.

I'm not sure, but I've heard the delivery from the 3rd round isn't until February next year.

I am wondering if the demand was as high as they thought, as I've noticed a few in the hands of dealers. You would think they would try and fill customer orders first? Having said that though, there are only 8 on Carsales (some dealer cars).

Smallest continent in the world!

20 SUPRA
Toyota Oz is doing an Apple with the Supra.
Line up in the queue.

Also Aussies get detuned supra with less burbles and less performance than other countries.

Nah, our Supras have the same tune as elsewhere. One of the Melbourne dealers dyno'ed one within weeks and results were ~230rwkW, which is very consistent with the US results (Given US dynos predominately read higher than ours)

Visited Toyota in Rockdale (NSW), they have a GT and GTS on the floor. The GT is not for sale and the GST is stickered at $130K.

Sales Rep told me there will be another 300 allocations online in April 2020. After that dealers will start getting stock - take that info for what ever its worth.

I have seen a couple of Supra's in passing but this was my first good look around the car. Most surprising takeaway is how plush the interior is, not a huge BMW guy so I was actually blown away by the soft touch materials (except inner door cover) and also i-drive interface, particularly the speed and accuracy of the system. I don't remember this aspect of the car standing out to me when I drove the M2 Comp.
Biggest minus - I don't mind the door and rear fake vents but the front bumper and front guard vents are hideous and I can't believe how bad they look up close. Also the stock wheels are just ok, the GT wheels are more to my liking. I thought of getting white down the track but the red looks brilliant on this car - I could never own a red car though.

Hope all new Aussie owners are enjoying their new rides, would love to hear some reviews.

I'll write more detail later. But I like mine. It feels a part of the Supra family. It's also surprisingly fast.

Hi folks,

Wondering if everyone in Aus who is collecting their cars is paying full list price, or if people are having luck with some last minute negotiation. I'm guessing some sweetening of the finance package or trade in value will be the extent of any bargaining attempts?

On a check of Carsales today, almost a dozen supras for sale. Prices were 30% above MRSP 6 weeks ago, now some are around only 10% above.
I suspect the first discounted Supra will appear in January when the 2019 models technically become 1 year old.
Dealers are also suggesting floor stock will start appearing from March.
