Did you lease, finance, or buyout and why?
I bought mine out, and I don't regret it one bit, I set up the appointment blinded, never test drove mine, and when I saw it in person I was like ''gahdamn she's beautiful''. Side note; I had to go to 2 different dealers. The first I went to I told them I wanted to purchase my supra, and they didn't take me serious cause I looked like I was 17, but I am 23. So I walked out and bought one from another dealer. :D ANYWAYS, I don't regret purchasing it full out.

You shouldve drove back to the first dealer and showed them the car!

Lease. Cause itā€™s a year 1 car - I have no idea what sorts of problems it will have. If they are severe then Iā€™d have a hard time re-selling it possibly or suffer a hit. This way, if the car is good, I can buy it out. If I donā€™t like it, for any reason or no reason at all, I go back and just give it back to Toyota.

I put a 50k down payment on mine and finance the rest to build more credit. Surprisingly the dealer didn't judge me by my look considering I'm 21. I got Turbulence Grey and don't regret it one bit but do wish it had red interior. Funny enough Honda wouldn't take me seriously when I went to look at the Type R(as a daily) with my Supra. Maybe they thought I was driving my dad's car or something? Oh well bad business on their part but I'm still looking for a daily.

In financing the car isnā€™t yours til you pay it off. You have xx months to screw up the deal.

If you buy it, you get clear title to the car and you can do what you want.

I believe if you finance the car, you bought it by paying interest to the bank. If you screw up the deal, it's called a repo and it goes against your credit to ever get financing again.

But you donā€™t hold a clean title to the car during the finance term - financing company has superior rights to yours. Thereā€™s a lien on the car. I donā€™t know if the lender/finance entity files a UCC-1 for every car like they do for aircraft but they have a security interest in the collateral. Repo is just a result of some sort of defaulting event which is contemplated by the contract which was signed between the parties. The fact that anyone can repo the car tells me that the party thatā€™s doing the repo has superior rights to it (no one can repo the car if you bought it with a bag of cash).

That does not differentiate the difference between a finance and buyout. Both options, you bought the car and you can do whatever the hell you want to do with the car. Without banks and credit, this country (USA) would be like a 3rd world country.

One thing I'm not sure is if one were to buy an entire car using a credit card (I don't think car companies allow this). I don't think the car can be a repo as easily because you would technically own the car outright and get the title to the car.

The supra is a daily, but yeah i know how you feel. I was like oh well, sucks for you guys. The original one i was going for was a tungsten silver, but i ended up with absolute zero. They would've made some money from me but that's not my problem now especially considering their supra was on their website for 67 days. How do you like your supra so far?

I absolutely love it. I launch it all the time and love the feeling of adrenaline when the car goes sideways. As of now I'm waiting for a bit when the aftermarket makes a nice sounding titanium exhaust/downpipe.
