What was the excuse for that again? Wasn't it b/c they didn't won't to promote street racing.agreed, they need to bring Toyota to need for speed heat also... it was in the last nfs
Yup! Which is so dumb because you can argue those games helping build their brand value. What was the excuse for that again? Wasn't it b/c they didn't won't to promote street racing.
the same reason Ferrari stayed out for so longWhat was the excuse for that again? Wasn't it b/c they didn't won't to promote street racing.
That's an oof right thereBut that's funny, isn't the new Supra going to be in the next FnF? If so, is that not still along similar lines?
That was just the public excuse because they continue to be heavily involved with the Japanese owned Gran Turismo. I'm glad they're back as well. We need the MR2s and all the Supras as well as the Le Mans racers back! And then the Lexus SuperGT cars. What was the excuse for that again? Wasn't it b/c they didn't won't to promote street racing.
It wasn't just the mk4, they removed ALL Toyota road cars from both new Forza games, and everything else that wasn't Gran Turismo. There was nearly 20 cars total with the Lexus and Scions included.Stupid call to remove the MKIV Supra in the first place.
Yeah, it was a licensing issue. The street racing tweet was Toyota trolling the gaming community. It wasn't just the mk4, they removed ALL Toyota road cars from both new Forza games, and everything else that wasn't Gran Turismo. There was nearly 20 cars total with the Lexus and Scions included.
This article has the complete Toyota Tweets in it on the subject....

They pretty much confirm what I suspected all along. To debut the mk5 in Gran Turismo Sport (the game featured it), someone at Sony or Polyphony some how convinced someone who wasn't paying attention at Toyota to grant them an exclusive license to Toyotas road cars for a set period. Bloody unbelievable, I'm still pissed at Toyota for going along with this.
On the Forza Live Streams they have said that the license is fully restored and they just need time to take the old FM6/FH3 models and add the latest changes from the last 2 games, so its just the mk4 first, and I'm guessing the rest will come in a free pack. I'm really hoping they decide to release it for FM7 too, only Horizon has been mentioned so far. Technically they've released their last DLC and update for FM7 already and are hard at work on 8 which will likely launch on the new XBox next year.
