Good evening.

When I open the door and then shut the door for some strange reason the window goes down (open) and up (closed) when I open and close the driver door. Anyone else having this issue? Wonder if I saved a setting for this to happen.

I’m not sure what you’re asking, but if you’re taking about how it drops like an inch when you open it, it’s so it seals properly. Almost all new frameless cars do this.

Normal -- it's supposed to do this. BMW has been using this technique with frameless windows for at least 20-25 years now. Many other manufacturers use the same approach. It allows them to tuck the glass up under the rain gutter for a clean look and better seal.

If you look closely at the glass position at the top when the door is closed, it will be obvious why the window has to drop down in order for the door to open.

Mine has gotten stuck a few times in below freezing temperatures. This means that the door will not close completely. I think moisture collects some where in the window mechanism and freezes. After driving it for awhile it thaws out, the window will retract, the door closes and the window goes back up. I took it to the dealer last week and they are aware of it but couldn't find the cause or solution. Toyota is now aware of the problem, as every issue gets reported back to the "mothership ".

Normal on all cars with frameless windows

Because if the window does not drop an inch upon opening it would shatter once door is closed and also not seal properly
