They are trying to crack some bugs on the Solstice Coupe with the supercharged LS3 that was done elsewhere and has some CELs popping up with periodic limp mode -- has a hybrid harness, a bunch of new wiring, recently switched from LS-Edit to EFI Live. It was a build done years ago and never ran right so they are working through the issues. Richard says it's one of the funnest cars he's driven and they've had everything go through there over the years. I'm happy to report on Supra as it comes together. If there is some kind of unsolvable issue with the Pure Supras, I guess we'll find out.

ahh gotcha. Man, its been a while since i tuned an LS. used to tune the Solstice a lot. Don't really see those cars around much anymore. They were fun cars. Dont know what happened to them. Or maybe its just my area where they are scarce. Im actually about to tune a LS swapped 335i with big single. Should be fun.

We haven't had any issues with these cars, but for some reason i continue to see posts about having limp modes and other issues on the MKV.

They are just finishing up. Gained 145 whp. They said it drives fantastically. Hoping to pick up tomorrow. Remember, this is 91 octane, no meth, conservative tune for AZ heat, etc.

I donā€™t know all of the variables or thinking behind the tuning, but this is lower than I expected for even 91 on the revised pure800 turbo, considering the original unrevised version claims 527whp on 93. Maybe thereā€™s another element to it that Iā€™m missing?

perhaps itā€™s a very conservative tune?

I'm more interested in how it drives than shooting for a peak number to post on a forum. For sure, I instructed them to keep it safe and very conservative with the 118 degrees summer days on crappy gas... Given the issues I've had with Solstice above, I just want this to run well and have some extra pep. They tell me their dyno tends to run lower than most - the Solstice only made 535 at the wheels on their dyno. I'll get more scoop on the boost etc. More importantly, I can't wait to drive it.

Pure800 turbo drives great, BTW. Standard mode seems no louder than stock, even with the DP. Sport is more throaty and I can hear a bit of turbo whistle (but nothing obtrusive), and for sure a lot more prevalent popping. NO cels, no lag, but much, much more pull and the trans cal is perfect - super crisp shifts. I believe this tune is just a bit more boost than stock. Clearly, there is a lot more power available with more boost and supporting fuel, etc. For me, this is a perfect fit for this car and should be something offered from the factory at some point -- 560 flywheel and oem manners.

Perfect number

Would personally due the same on a conservative tune for most driving

Could also have a 500whp file for fun too ;)

Pure has added my dyno sheet to their website -- I think, for the "fun" tune file, I might as well go with the 600+ whp and simply add some race gas. Nice to know that's an easy option without changing any hardware. (I miss my old Greddy Profec in my 95 TT that had three levels of boost at the push of a button.)

It looks like they made 600whp with pump 93 only

COnsidering we made low 500s at the wheel on their original Pure Upgrade on 93oct. That should be about right on the new one.

Do you know what size are the impellers in the Pure Turbos? 57mm 54mm?

bigger than that. I assume youre asking about that other upgrade offered from another company. Pure is larger by a great margin

Yes I saw something but is not out yet... the size is something that they wonā€™t tell?
