Tools Needed:
- 8mm socket
- Heat gun
- Automotive jack
- Jack stand
- Raise the car using an automotive jack.
- (Optional) It is possible to access the fender liner hardware adequately, but for better access, you may remove the wheel.
- Remove three 8mm screws (one directly behind, and two above and below the reflector) to gain access behind the fender liner.
- Remove the one 8mm screw that affixes the bumper to the rear quarter panel. Once complete, carefully separate the bumper from the quarter panel. You should be able to see the reflector clearly from either side of the bumper.
- Carefully apply heat to the rear reflector area. This will loosen the OE adhesive that holds the reflector in place and make it easier to remove.
- Remove the OE reflector. Starting at either end, push the reflector towards the car and "through" the bumper. For extra leverage, you can push from the other side simultaneously.
- Remove any excess OE adhesive on the inside of the bumper panel. This will ensure the IND painted replacement adheres to a clean, perfectly uniform surface.
- Peel the tape on the IND painted reflector to expose the adhesive and carefully position it into place behind the bumper panel. Once satisfied with placement, press it into place with uniform pressure.
- Finish by reinstalling the bumper panel and associated hardware. Remove the jack stand and carefully lower the car back to the ground.
