TLDR: Release date is now estimated to be around spring 2020.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know that there were many folks on here (myself included) who were waiting for the OEM puddle lights to be released as they'd been up on Toyota Japan's Supra Customization website since launch with the parenthetical statement that they would go on sale "around August 2019".

As I mentioned last September, I'd spoken with Toyota Kyohan in Japan to see if the parts were out yet (given that it was past August), but they said that they were actually planning on releasing them in December. I just happened to check the above link again and it looks like - within the past couple of days - they've updated the estimated release date again: it now says that they'll go on sale "around spring 2020."

So... not sure what's up with that, but just thought I'd provide an update for anyone who was still interested in these.

It's worth noting that these are a Toyota part (and not a TRD part), so we should theoretically be able to get them through dealerships here in the US upon release (as we can with the carbon fiber mirror caps). However, I had to get something as simple as the GR luggage mat directly from Japan as my local dealership was unable to obtain it for me, so I'm not sure if the same thing will happen with these puddle lights or if they will (hopefully) be like the mirror caps in terms of ordering.

Thanks for the update, these puddle lights were just on my mind earlier today!

I wish they go with a simpler design maybe just with a white supra logo and get rid of the circle and Toyota logo

Honestly don't see a point to these. But different strokes for different folks.

Yeah, they are a bit "tacky" but I kind of like them and wouldn't mind picking them up (if Toyota ever finally gets their shit together and starts selling them, that is). :p

Wanted to give you all an update on the projection lights:
Got a call this week, asking if my dealership should put them in my Supra today, while they were working on it (first oil change). I was surprised, but also very happy, that they were finally delivered.

This was taken right after I was back home, in the garage with indirect sunlight, but I'm sure it will look much better early in the morning when I'm driving to work.

Some information on the lights:
  • Manufactured in China
  • They are standard BMW projection lights (even the box says "BMW Group")
  • Plug and play: just unplug the original ones and plug these in.

Do you have a part number for the projector puddle lights? Thanks.

Yep, here you go:

Toyota: 0852D-14010
BMW: 63 31 2 463 923

I ordered them back in September with the Toyota number through my dealership, then the order was cancelled by Toyota Germany a few times, because of delivery and release problems, but was finally fulfilled this week.

Additional information about pricing: 149 ā‚¬ (incl. 19% taxes)

They are installed in/under the doors.
Under the door in the back quarter part of it. It is a small rectangular opening (if I remeber correctly about 2-3 x 6-8 cm; 1 x 3 in).

As I mentioned earlier: Plug and play replacement for the original lights, if equipped, but I'm not sure if the US Supras have it.

Thanks. Thatā€™s what I thought. Doesnā€™t appear as though the US models have puddle lighting. Looks like thereā€™s a blank under the door where they would go

Might be interesting to know if the wiring harness is preinstalled in the door for the US model or if there is nothing behind the blank.
Would be interesting to know. Also, is there anything in iDrive that controls them? I know I can turn on and off the door handle lighting but there's no reference to anything else. I might do a little exploration. If anyone with the option wanted to post a pic of the location under the door, that would be very helpful

Only checked the settings the time I got my Supra (September '19), but I think the setting you mentioned also controls the projection lights. Will check this tomorrow. At the same time I can take a photo of the exact location.

Just looked through my iDrive (or Toyota Supra Command...) settings and found the exterior lighting section. Thought the projection lights were toggled by one of the settings, but no. Even after deselecting all checkboxes, the projection lights were still active.
I looked thorugh all the settings, but couldn't find one, so, I guess this cannot be toggled.

@Position:
Need to correct myself. The lights are almost in the center under the door.

(sorry for the bad quality, but using the smartphone camera against sunlight from the outside was not the best idea to take a photo :D )

I ordered the puddle lights from a BMW dealer in the UK Ā£106.80, inc VAT, 63312463923.
My local UK Toyota dealer did not have 0852D-14010 as a valid part number yet. Not surprising, the logo'd boot mat only became available to them in December, which was available in the US/Europe from last summer.

The official cargo net appears to be PT347-C1200, from the German price list, but also doesn't seem to be available yet. Meanwhile I'm using a net from a Mercedes C205 C coupe which works, but isn't quite right size wise.
