I am curious what people’s plan is: driving around town and suddenly the unthinkable happens and you get a flat.
While i never intend to use the spray in goo, what if that will not even save you?

call toyota road side? Get a tow company to send a flat bed? Leave it on scissor jack as you wander off with a wheel to try to get a replacement? What is the plan people are intending to utilize?

I would also like to know, i started worrying about this when i first got the car and it stressed me out so I’ve been trying to not think about it lol

I am in the same boat with my M2 Competition, and I didn't want to depend on the tire slime (which only works in some situations and can mess up the tire and/or TPMS sensors). So I kept an eye on TireRack and when they had a suitable sized wheel and tire on sale for cheap, I picked one up and keep it in the trunk as a spare. I also bought a jack, lug wrench, etc. I am not thrilled about carrying around the extra weight in the trunk (probably 50-60 lbs) but I like having a safety net and the independence.

Here are pics of the wheel/tire, and the setup in the trunk -- jack and wrench are inside the wheel, and everything is wrapped up in a tire storage tote sack. I added a couple straps to keep everything in place.

You can get a mini spare for emergencies. Lighter than full size...
I usually drive around the city. If tire kit can't help me, then will call Toyota or Insurance. I believe we get 2 year free road side service. Don't quote me on this, i don't fully remember the brochure right now.

Unfortunately mini-spares, aka "donuts", don't fit on many BMWs with big brakes -- not enough clearance. I don't know if the Supra has as large brakes as BMW M-sport and M cars, but it's probably ballpark. So for a lot of these models you have no choice but to go with a full size wheel/tire as a spare. The full size setup usually costs less too.

I’d just call Toyota roadside and have the car put on a flat bed home. Then take the wheel off and have a new tire mounted.

ME spec have spare tires in the trunk

Removed it first day since trunk space was down to nothing

If it does happen I would happily wait for roadside assistance

I finally got around to exploring the back of the car and the "emergency" kit that was added to boost the dealer price. There is not much to help in trouble. In the fuse panel area you get a tow eye, a little screw driver, an inflator and the goo canister. The inflator does not appear to be something you can activate without the canister plugged in. I unwrapped it and hooked it up to a different car- and no matter what I did (including prodding the canister port with the little bmw screw driver) I couldn't get that sucker to turn on.

In the emergency kit there is not much to help either, it is more of a survival kit. There are some gloves, rain parker, mylar blanket, jumper cables, flashlight-

There is no concept of a scissor jack anywhere or any way to get the wheel off preloaded. Even the warning triangle compartment is empty but that might be the NA market.

So to slightly improve my chances of survival, I am ditching the goo canister and inflator for an inflator that does not require the goo canister. I also added a proper tire patch kit to the emergency kit (reamer tool, plug tool, plugs and rubber cement). Sure it wont help with a side wall puncture but there aren't much sidewalls and nothing short of a donut will get you out of that kind of flat anyway. At least with a proper plug you wont ruin the inside of the tire but it requires an inflator that will not defeat the purpose.

While still no way to lift the car, I also added a ratchet that is capable of pulling off the lugs. One "less" component to worry about if the wheel needs to come off.

+a razor to cut off the excess plug and a proper manual tire gauge (I know the car can tell you and there is one on the inflator but this is an emergency situation, cant count on those)

I was wrong on something.... bike racks are supras are the coolest idea! jk. its the most gender identity crisis ridiculous thing I have ever heard of-
But anyway, the supra oem tire pump DOES turn on when you plug it in without the canister and it serves as a regular pump so no need to buy another one. I still strongly recommend getting a plug kit and trying that over the goo.

Just found nail in tire with only 250 miles on the Supra...got a low tire notification this morning while car was sitting in my garage...

Took off wheel and brought it over to Discount Tire and they fixed it for free...

I just hope this doesn't happen on the road... Need to add a tire patch kit soon!

I just keep a tire plug kit in the trunk. If the puncture is on the tread I'm good, if on the sidewall then road side assistance.

ETA some tire repair places hate that tire goo!

I am used to this from my previous 4C and it is a worry. If it is a slow leak, you can fill it with air and hobble to a tire place. Otherwise, goo or tow. Vet your tire shop though. When I had a nail/leak previously, the first two shops wouldn't touch the car.
