What exactly is required to do this? What the OP did or is it easier than that? Can you PM me step by step if you don't mind? Doesn't have to be super detailed just so I can get a basic understanding. Thanks bro!
Was there any further guidance that can be shared?

As far as what was done.
The front bumper was pulled off
The OEM horn located under the driver headlight is unbolted and removed.
You unplug the horn and from there tap into the plug wires. I tapped in rather then just cut the plug off in case for some reason I ever decided to go back to stock. The actual tapping of the wires is simple and you just need the right connectors which any AutoParts store should have. You also can explain to them what’s needed.
I did have a friend help me out with the wiring but took him no more then 5-10 minutes. Anyone with any type of experience tapping into wires for fog lights or headlights etc will have it done in a couple minutes.
The main part and most time consuming is removing the front bumper and all of the hardware.

FYR, my local BMW dealer offers the price of horns for G29 Z4, they actually have 2 different types:

High pitch

Part no: 61337455833
$142

Low pitch
Part no: 61337455834
$120

Hell knows why the high pitch one is more expensive...

You can always go to a junkyard and look for an up-to-date or "modern" late model luxury car (i.e., Lexus, Benz, Caddy, etc...) and take the horn(s) off of it and retrofit it. Cut it from the harness that way you get the connectors.

People have claimed to. I have no idea how as the route they claimed to take is damn near completely obstructed.
Yeah I was thinking of under the wheel well but still seems tough. Any recommendations on front bumper removals. My only concern is messing with the sensors/ alignment issues.

There is ducting that you have to address from the bottom once you pull the skid plates off. I don’t think it pulls off from the bottom either.

Yeah the horn definitely sucks! I used for the first time the other day and felt embarrassed when it sounded. Will definitely consider upgrading.

Can anyone confirm if you only need to do the driver side or also the passenger side as well? I guess this is a good time to tackle such a project.

There is only 1 original single note horn installed on the driver’s side. Since I replaced it with 2 standard Lexus horns (1 high and 1 low note), the service tech put one on each side. Just run a patch cable from the driver side horn to the passenger side horn. See my original post #1 for pictures on this thread. It now sounds like my SUV, and NOBODY laughs at my horn anymore!

So has anyone used this one yet???
Wondering the same. I also wonder if you can get to the horn from under the car or if the front bumper has to be removed. Looking to do this when I get on a lift soon.

See my original post #1, along with pictures. The service techs looked at every option to avoid pulling the bumper / cover. You can’t reach the horn from underneath. Zoom the pictures I’ve attached to the first post to see the components that are in the way. Other owners thought that coming through the wheel well would work.....but were not successful. If you read through the comments from the beginning of this thread, you can get some good information from others who have done the horn swap. Once you’ve exposed the original horn, it’s easy to simply swap it for a single different sounding horn, or add a second horn to give a 2 tone sound. I have 2 Lexus horns (hi / low note), which are the same as the original equipment in my RX350. No more clown car sound.....
