I just sold my 17 F-450 King Ranch. I have owned a Z06, Hellcat, and Cobra in the past though.
Must be great to live in the land of (relatively) inexpensive gas! None of those would be fun to fill up here in California Jr. - and in NY or CA it would almost be like a second payment on them I'd guess. Still I'm sure they were all tons of fun each in their own ways.

Here are some of my previous cars. I still have the rx7, the rest have moved on. Of all of these; the evo 8 was the best by a long shot. All of the work was done in house on all of the vehicles as well.

Your post definitely helps to confirm I made the right choice in going with the Supra.

I had a 2015 RC350 F Sport for 4 years and while it was a great car as far as reliability and comfort, I just wanted something with more performance - so naturally, I gravitated towards an RC F. I had also always loved Supras and the new one was really growing on me. In the end I chose the Supra due to it being the lighter, more nimble car and it’s also easily tunable. I still love the way the RC F looks, but man that thing really is a boat and suffers from terrible throttle lag from what I’ve seen.

If the prices were similar at all... then it would come down more to a matter of how "laid back" you wanted your average drive to be. The RC-F was very easy to live with... but that translates to slow, slow, and ponderously slow. Honestly, the way they handled the throttle (even in Sport+ mode) was disastrous. If I hadn't already decided to send it on it's way this year I'd definitely have installed an apex'i throttle controller. It just felt like driving a truck unless you really put your foot in it and kept things ~5000RPM or so... and then it felt dangerous and sloppy (to me at least).

Basically it was everything I never liked about a 5.0 Mustang GT - without the cheap price to compensate! However, I do miss the ML stereo, the sound of the V8 between 4000 and 6800 RPM, and the trunk which was amazing spacious. The suspension was, without exception, the worst I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. At anything less than 80mph it bounced like a civic with clipped springs. Even though it needed that when all 2+ tons were cornering at speed (and sloppily cornering at that).

I had a G37S coupe prior to the RC and I honestly missed it quite a bit (though the seats and stereo were a marked improvement). Now that there is the slightly lighter and (very) slightly better tuned track edition - it might be better... but that's a 100K MSRP car now! Since leaving the lot with my MKV... I've had nothing but smiles while driving. It's infinitely more nimble running around town while never feeling uncivilized at all. Plus my wife has fewer complaints (mostly related to the bouncing on the freeway in the RC).

All I have to do now is get the stereo sorted so my one big frustration is gone... but that will be a longer term project. We bought a 2020 RX350 for my wife just prior to the Supra, and sadly I think I'd almost rather drive it than an RC! At least in it you don't feel miserable when it just won't do what you want... you expect it. With the RC, it sounded like a supercar and drove like a work truck. IMO at least.

So what are you trading the Supra in on next year? :p LOL... I think you've owned more cars in the past decade than I have in the past three! Not that there's a problem with that really, and your choices are all fun ones IMO... but dealing with sales people that often = :puke:

Ive been eyeing the 991 turbo S, Ive had the Porsche bug for a few years but didnt want to blow that kinda cash. That or an Audi R8, ...has to be turbo and has to be AWD

I can't think of a single reason not to go with either of them... well, I can't justify the cost personally - but they're both incredible cars. I loved my brief time in the Cayman S... but what it took to option it out as well as any Kia comes stock... not so much. I get the whole "staying true to their motorsports heritage" thing... but having to actually turn a key to start a 2016 vehicle with an MSRP over 70K is kinda ridiculous IMO. Not to mention lacking a backup camera in something with almost zero visibility at the rear quarters.

I still have (though I’m thinking of parting out) a 14’ FRS that’s at about 400whp. Other than that just the MKV Supra.

Hey guys! Seeing as how many of us are car enthusiasts, it got me thinking. What cars did you all own before picking up your Supra? Better yet, what other cars do you currently own?

Personally, I’ve always been a euro car guy. I’ve previously owned an E30 325is and currently own an E36 M3. When Toyota partnered with BMW, the Supra was definitely up my alley

G37s are definitely nice little cars! Saw a supercharged one at my local drag strip a couple of months ago. Was easily doing low 12s, high 11s in the 1/4 mile :confused1:
