Strangest thing. Sometimes when parked the passenger windshield wiper will intermittently twitch or slightly wiggle on its own. When it is occurring, it will do it several times a minute. It's so weird

I have the weird beeps along with the wiper twitch too been waiting for someone to say something about this. Thought maybe it was my radar being tapped to that harness..guess that's not the case lol .

Have had several cars that do this...all german. Keeps the wipers from getting stuck on windshield or dry rotting in the same position. Looks like an electrical glitch, but after you understand why it seems like pure german genius. Another BMW feature built in to the Toyota!

I've had Porsche and BMW in the past that does this to keep the wiper soft, but those are supposed to only happens once every couple shut down.

On my supra, it does it every 10 second for close to 15 minutes every time the car is locked or turned off. I compared it to the other supras in the show room and none of them exhibits the same behavior. So i don't think its normal.

Also, the lights on the Engine Start/Stop button and parking brake will also turn off with the wiper jiggle.

My car has a faulty ground in the camera module which is causing voltage spikes and malfunction in all the driver assistance system. So I don't know if its all related or not

If this wiper twitch was intentional, then why is it only the passenger side that does it? If it were for sticking or dry rotting it would include both or maybe just the driver side...even would make more sense than the passenger side twitching alone... Yes, in RHD models that would be the driver side but I still don’t buy it.

@SilverSupra when you gave that circuit a proper ground did the issue go away?

The ground fault is internal to the front camera module, they'll need to replace the whole unit. No ETA for it, so it's going to be a while before they get a replacement.

My one is right hand drive & it is the passenger side that flicks

@Kiwi Greg yes, I understand that on a RHD model it would end up being the drivers side that is twitching. My point is, if this was an intentional thing it would be both sides, not just one. And if it was meant to be just one, then us people with LHD models should have the other one twitching because that is our drivers side of the vehicle. The twitch happens only on the RH side because it is an issue, not “pure german genius” as stated above...

Mine was definitely on the passengers side, I didn't notice it happening on the drivers side, will see if I can catch it doing it again

@Kiwi Greg so you are saying that your supra is right hand drive, and it is the vehicles left hand side wiper arm that is twitching? Thats crazy if so because here in the states our cars are left hand drive, and its the vehicles right hand side wiper that twitches.
