Hi All,

Im getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2020 Supra Launch Edition in Absolute Zero at our local dealer here on Guam but I have some issues with the build if you guys could help me out.

Year: 2020
Make: Toyota Supra
Model: Launch Edition
Exterior: Absolute Zero
Interior: Black
VIN: WZ1DB4C02LW027265
Dealer MSRP: $83,279
Sale Price: $70,099

Launch Edition with the Red Mirror Caps and Black Option Wheels.

Its missing the following:
- Red Interior
- Launch Edition Carbon Fiber Badging with number

They are selling the car as a "Launch Edition" but it doesnt have the LE badge stating its #### of 1500 so im confused??? The Manager said its how they received the car but cant provide me any ordering documents with the car being a true Launch Edition. He also said that its a "LE because it has the red mirrors" I said only 1500 were made as an LE how am I supposed to tell what # out of 1500 it is without the badge unless they made 1503 and Guam received 3 additional ones (Red SOLD, Black SOLD,White PENDING) without a badge. He then said the badge is only done in the US, but still i have no way of telling the 3 here are legit LE out of the 1500 made.

Is this really a true Launch Edition or is the dealer trying to sell me a Premium 3.0 with added options and a bunch of BS? Is there anyway to tell if its a LE without the badging? My loan is pending but i want to make sure Im getting what im paying for. Any help is greatly appreciated TIA!

Toyota states they only made 1500 LEs and all are numbered. The badge is on the passengers side dash trim and is hard to miss.

This could be something oddly special, but if it isnā€™t tied to a VIN that anyone can look up, it is just unique options that may or may not be factory. Maybe someone here can look the VIN up for you and best case it came from factory that way, but without the badging and interior, thatā€™s a hard sell to me that it is a true launch edition.

Iā€™m more inclined to think they painted the mirror caps and wheels or ordered them and installed locally. You have an odd duck on your hands.

EDIT: I believe the LE is a listed package optionas well. Iā€™ll go look through my paperwork and see later if no one else chimes in.

I strongly think they're selling the Premium model with red mirror caps and black wheels. The missing red interior and plaque are the biggest distinctions between the LE and the Premium cars. Anyone could buy the red mirror caps and matte wheels.

I attached a list of US LE VINs from a BMW insider that helped provide some light on a similar question (See below for that thread). I just did a small glance and I don't see the VIN you posted. I checked the list by looking at a random LE on Cargurus and was able to match that VIN.

(See post #8 and 13)

I ran VIN number, coming up as invalid. I am not familiar with how Toyota dealers get inventory in quam but my guess is this is a non US vin. I get the same error message when i run vehicles from Canada and Mexico.

Strange the VIN isnt on the Monroney Label

You also can not "spec" a Supra with the LE wheels and mirror caps, at least not in this area of country.

nm, The VIN you had was wrong. I just copied from website WZ1DB4C02LW027265

However, the decoded info is completely blank. Just knows its a Supra built on 08/27/2019. Does list it as grade "RB" Though not sure what that means.

I don't think this is a true LE. I think the dealer just added the red mirror caps and black wheels to make it seem like an LE. Another thing to note here is that if you look at the special edition that was launched in the European market, they do not have the number on the dash either. In Europe, they had 900 special edition in Phantom Matte Gray. These cars got the red interior though, but no number plaque on the passenger dash.

^^ Good thing noting the EU LEs. I completely forgot about them. I believe Toyota announced production for the EU would be 900 cars and the first 90 would be the "A90 Editions" (LE) with matte exterior and red interior.

And I would think that Guam would be included as a US market.

even if it is a real LE, why consider it when there is no LE badge and red interior? could just save the money and buy a premium and get red caps and black wheels or use the money for aftermarket caps and wheels.

Guam receives USDM car since it's a US territory. Was stationed there for 3yrs, everything came from US. Definitely sounds like a Premium w some dealer added accessories from LE.
