I was disappointed with 8. Found out a BRZ was going to be in it. So as a 8 6 owner, I got excited. Scene was 4 min, and wrecked. Never to be seen again. As far as the FF9 Supra...I just don’t get the black vinyl on the sides... almost like they are trying to replicate Han’s Veilside Fortune RX-7

Lmaoo..they are really making jdm cars as a joke now. They all bring the hyper and super cars. They forgot FF franchise started with JDM culture.

The series should have died with Paul Walker. 7 was enough, they've run out of material with these characters. 7 ended so nice, the Supra driving off into the distance, shoulda ended the main storyline there and retired all of these characters.

I think that they probably shouldn't have made anymore than the first one. It was a movie about friendship & family that used 'car culture' as a backdrop for it; it's pretty much Point Break up until the point where Johnny can't shoot Brodhi.

5 to 7 were a lot of fun. My favorite is still Tokyo Drift actually. That's what they should have done after 7, just do a bunch of standalone stories in the same universe with different characters. I mean it sort of looks like that's what they're doing with Hobbs and Shaw, but the reality is they made that one as a way to peel of 2 big stars they picked up along the way, because they were reaching maximum ego overload.

I think it was clear that the so-called "family" members of the cast commented that someone ruined the franchise. Them (the people that "ruin" it) being away from this upcoming sequel I feel is a way of reciprocating to that thought and trying to bring back the "a quarter mile at a time" life and also the cars. I think we should keep an open mind for F9 and see what they are going to show us. For all we know, this may be the revival of the series, since Brian's son should be growing up. Maybe this will be his time.

The bodywork (mainly paint) of the Supra in the photos shown in the previous post is an obvious homage (hopefully) to Han's RX-7 Veilside. I think its a good sign that they are bringing out modern Supra as it shows that they didn't forget their JDM roots. Also an homage to Paul as well.

We'll see. Maybe if they can write in a way for everyone to loose their money. The story has made no sense since every character become a multi millionaire in 5 and some how they made the leap from criminal masterminds to super spies.

So that last scene, guess that answers why the mk5 is dressed up like the vielside rx7. Its Han back from the dead, driving the new Supra also back from the dead. I wonder if that means he is also an expensive German made clone of the original? :D

Sadly it looks like it gets destroyed unlike the original Supra where Dom got away with it when Brian says I owe you a 10 second car.
