I apologise for the forthcoming old Dinosaur question :)

Can you use a laptop to do this ?

If so is there a link where I can down load the programs or do I have to use my phone ?

I have an E-net cable & successfully used BM3 to upgrade my car so I'm not a complete Dinosaur, pretty close though ;)

So I attempted to alter screen brightness during the day. I go through the directions but do not know what values to change. Can someone help me out? See attachments

The ā€œoldā€ option made the screen stay bright for me. The downside was it stopped dimming at night and stayed super bright so I reverted back to the ā€œnewā€ setting

I programmed mine with old option and it can be dimmed at night so it's not so bright...

Did you try using the console illumination wheel (show in pic below) to reduce illumination at night...this works for me very well...

Hm, I havenā€™t tried using the dimmer wheel. I was hoping that the screen would automatically dim if the headlights engaged. That also dims all interior lighting as well no?

Yes it slightly dims the display as well but everything now seems to share the same brightness level at night...

I just couldn't stand how dim the info display was during the day...In some instances I couldn't even see the display...now everything is clearly displayed during the day and I have it set so it's fine at night as well...

Just finished making my changes...

-Auto on/off memory enabled (So stoked about this)
-Startup warning off
-Driver and passenger seatbelt warning disabled
-USB and video in motion enabled
-Active Sound Design Disabled

The most remarkable thing right off is how much better the sound system is without the fake exhaust sounds!! I was so disappointed in the sound in this car when I first got it. The system in my Civic sounded way better, and now it's like a whole new system. That alone is worth the price.

Haven't tested the video stuff yet.

Anyone code for Brake Force Display? Are you able to access with the OBDLink MX+? The Veepeak doesn't seem to pull it up. Or is it buried in Expert Mode?

just an honest question because I donā€™t know, but why do you need a brake force display?

Meanie, I've almost been hit twice from the back already with this car and I've only driven it a few times. One was at highway speeds and the other was in the city. The highway one was so close and almost the worst. I had a 18 wheeler to my right and a ditch to my left. I had a car pull out from a side road in front of me and didn't accelerate. The guy behind me wasn't stopping and I almost had to put it in the ditch to avoid him.

I don't have any tint on the lights so I thought the next best thing would be to brighten the brake lights when in use or draw attention to it. The brake force display will give them a quick flash under hard braking conditions. So I'm looking for something to get their attention because they don't seem to notice with this car.

We can always stop quickly if needed, but can the car behind you stop as quickly?

Ah makes sense, I thought brake force display was something like a meter that displayed on the screen. Having the brakes flash during emergency braking would be useful

Hey guys the Body Domain Controller is now available under Z4! I have coded Sport Individual Mode as default driving mode & reverse mirror tilt to 30% which makes it useful! I believe there are tons of options to change now in Expert Mode if anyone wants to tinker!
