Hard lesson learned for the nuevo-car-guy that paid at or above MSRP for a first MY car expecting it be "collectible" or something. Welcome.... ..to the real world. YoY improvement is pretty standard in the performance car segment.

People donā€™t realize. The price of Supra just got jacked sky high. I am willing to bet the new 2.0 will be 45-55k. The new 3.0 will be $58-70k. Who knows. And launch or whatever even more. It makes a lot of sense now to bring the 2.0.

Did they just change where they're rating the HP from? Basically switching from wheel (335hp) to crank (382hp)?

But more specifically, BMW's DCT, Toyota's slushyboy, or something else?
found it!!

A three-liter inline six-cylinder engine with single twin-scroll turbocharger has been tuned to 320kW (430hp) with a 7-speed sports automatic transmission with paddle shifters and the mechanical limited slip differential driving the rear wheels.

from my understanding is a 7 speed auto which is better for the track than the more normaly-jack of all trades 8 speed.

Did they mention pricing anywhere?

no but when they released the 2020 4 runner with new updated car play, Navi, and safety features. It was additional $2,000 more. What do you think all these features are going to cost? Definitely wonā€™t be the same as we paid for. I think we got the best bang for the buck. That also could even raise the value of the 2020 cars bc itā€™s a limited edition now as only being made in 2020. Higher compression motors need less boost to make more power. I am willing the bet they upped the boost on the lower compression motors to make more power safely.

I have never seen a brand new production car change so significantly the following year. This is nuts!!!! I can understand the decals on the calipers and minor stuff but not a 50hp+ and a different motor all together!!! Holly crap!!
