Anyone have any guesses on expected production numbers. The s2000 was in the 7K range per year which was enough to assure parts, after market parts, and rebuilt parts. It is one of the criteria in my decision to purchase this car.

Iā€™m sure itā€™ll be fine. Even if the Supra were to fail, it shares a ton of parts with BMWs that have sold in great numbers. The bespoke part of the Supra is the chassis.

I should note, the Supra however does not drive like that. It has a lot more steering feedback than a F80 or F87 and feels a lot more lively.

Most companies these days are producing far less spare parts to cut costs. I have had a couple vehicles with a shocking number of parts discontinued only 5-7 years after production end (Nissan is notorious for this). Basically they have a table that shows how much of a certain part they project being needed year over year and once that drops to a certain level they discontinue the part.

With Toyota, they still forecast, but you can generally (not always) count on 15yr part support for two reasons: they generally sell an unbelievable volume of cars and because they still produce more spares than the majority of the industry. That said, I have no idea what BMW targets are and what you can expect that way.

I was maybe interested in civic type r but could never get a test drive and the production is limited to 4k for usa. all that combined and the recent price increase sealed that its fate with me considering it as a car.

NONE. BOUGHT BACK - 2020 Absolute Zero 3.0 Premium
My friend owns a Chrysler Crossfire (similarly low volume and German guts) from 2005 I believe. The dealer can still service it and source parts despite the MB divestiture.

Similar to the Supra, apparently thereā€™s only one guy who can work on it at the dealer.

Now that the 2020 model has ended production, anyone know what the final production numbers are in each color? Since Downshift Blue & Phantom Gray are discontinued, want to see how limited they are.

Interested as well as I have a downshift blue one. Bought it in November and was one of two available in the southeast at the time. Thinking the downshift blue ones are pretty rare.

So, they are no longer making 2020 anymore? And just shipping their remaining stock the US?

A better one
BMW has disabled the system that used to make possible pulling this kind of statistics.
