Seems inevitable. Been following cars and cargurus.com prices and Dealers are not able to move the Supra, appears to be slashing prices down.

hmmm .. yes to under $50k 2020 Supra ?!?

Maybe, who knows. Someone will get a really good deal then. I am not interested in more HP, have enough already, and the sport mode is stiff enough. My wife complains some on the normal mode. lol And for doing some winding roads and having fun, plenty of power and cornering on the 2020. I don't think the audience is that big for a 2 seater that is more or less, a specialized car. In Tucon, I haven't seen it, but there was one other sold. The dealer bought the other 2. And that is the way it goes! Enjoying the Hell out of mine!

Deals are starting to happen, might go look at one over the weekend that might be 6k off msrp
Yeah, good luck. I stopped by my local Toyota dealerships to buy parts for my Tacoma and they had a red Supra in the showroom. The sales guy said no test drives unless cash, pre-approved or check ready to buy and they are going to remove the dealer markup.

I told the guy in a transparent voice that "these cars are not moving as expected because of the ADM and not having a demo car available will only turn away potential buyers. Who's the idiot who made that decision..."as I walked away. lol

Supras are basically PITA for dealerships, they would rather have easy sales on bread-and-butter models. I know one Supra was traded in for sedans from another dealership.
^This. Check with dealers that have the biggest sales numbers by volume. I went to the biggest dealer and was able to get mine at MSRP despite it being the 1st premium on their lot. They even sold their LE at MSRP as far as I know. The Sales Manager said they were just trying to move stock and get business from other dealers trying to mark-up.

My question is, I wonder if Toyota will focus future Supra deliveries towards dealerships that have the most sales and thus indirectly punish dealers who couldn't sell as many due to ADM.

That's true. Longo Toyota is the largest dealership (50 acres) and the #1 selling Toyota dealership in the world here in Southern California. Ironically, they don't have many Supras to choose from.

lol - I can almost relate. I was also at my local dealer getting an oil filter and on my way out, decided to sit and get an interior feel on their gray Supra showroom floor, walked to the black Supra on the other side of the floor and decided to walk back and sit on the gray one again and didnā€™t notice that the douchecanoe sales guy intentionally locked the doors on me preventing me not to sit on the gray one again. That put some salt on my mouth and walked out and jumped into my CS.

and yes, both had $10k markups which added insult to injury.

Have to admit though that if I can snatch one under $50k for a premium... that would be an ecstatic deal.

What an asshole. The guy at Poway Toyota was at least nice enough to open the Supra so I could sit in it but said that the no test drive rule was the managerā€™s call. I told him Iā€™m a Supra owner but that still didnā€™t qualify. Oh well.

Not motivated to sell and As much as Iā€™d like to support my local dealer, the next 2 nearest yota dealers have been drastically cutting prices down.

Lots of dealers do the no test drive thing. Honda with Type R VW with Golf R. How many of you guys bought the Supra without a test drive?

Ordered and bought mine without seeing the car. But I'm the exception in my area. Lots of the older generation here needs to see, feel, and experience the car and know what they're getting into before buying. Lots of cars at my dealer are sold off lot and rarely ordered in.

Looked on AT and I counted 9 nationwide that were under 50K so yes there are deals to be made. Patience is a virtue!
I just looked on auto trader, those are all base models with the small screen. And used ones. Base model can be bought for under 50k but after taxes and title and fees, it will bring you back to $52-$54k

Boggles the mind that some of these dealers are still trying to sell at a markup. Not even considering the fact that the MY21 is confirmed with a power upgrade. Obviously we don't know if there is a price increase or not, but still, I'd think that wouldn't be enough for dealers to be able to maintain MSRP for MY20.

In regards to the test drives, I'm not sure if my dealer was/is offering them. I understand dealers not wanting to let just anyone come in and test drive, but at some point you're gonna have to let people who are on the fence do one.
