8 and 14, holy cow that's not doing well at all. Specially in comparison to Z4 but I think it mostly failed here in U.S due to greedy dealerships overmarking by 10s of thousands.

I wonder why they havenā€™t released the US sales numbers yet.

Sales are going to be terrible for inventory existing and whatever they are able to belatedly crank out of 2021.

Honestly if I hadnā€™t bought a Supra yet, in about another month or two, Iā€™d likely be buying. I can imagine some incredible deals happening. Iā€™m talking lawyer wife pricing for all here. No one will be buying anything due to the litany of justifiable pandemic worries.

Where I bought mine, I was there the other day and asked one salesman how it was going. I have known him for some time and find him pretty honest about his comments. He said not good, look at the streets, less than half the traffic as normal and no one is coming in. Another guy I know there said great, selling cars. The desks were I normally see people sitting and negotiating or doing the final work to buy a car, were empty over 3 hours. I asked about the one Supra they have, no interest, no one looking. But it is, in better times, as so many say, a speciality car. The perfect storm it seems.

I wonder if tariffs in Germany raise Supra pricing, vs cars from domestic makers there.

Lets put things into perspective. Well yeah Europeans tend to stick to VW, MB, BMW, etc. Toyota and other foreign brands only make up small percentage of overall car sales over there. I believe in 2019 Toyota's total market share in Europe was like 4.6%.

Yes we have seem awful stealerships with their markups, but overall the bunk of Supras sales are coming from the US.

Numbers for 2019
Europe: 893
US: 2,884

The Toyota badge directly over the Supra rear badge is a nod that Toyota see more favorable brand recognition in the US, vs EU.

My understanding was that they lost the rights to Supra in the EU. Hence ā€œToyota Supra.ā€ This was internet hearsay so I could be wrong.

I know from discussions on another forum unrelated to cars that in the UK the Supra is more expensive than the base Cayman. Possible that is the case elsewhere like Germany.

Yeah, but options are where Porsche gets you. If Porsche could get away with the base seating being a 5 gallon bucket and then charging extra for a wooden stool before graduating to real seats, they damn well would.
