I wonder if that is in all the US areas, or just certain ones? If it's in my area, then the dealerships are trying to pocket it because most of them are still trying to get MSRP for the car.

well, it's worth mentioning it to get them to move the needle. The dealer's worst enemy is an informed buyer.

About to buy the replacement for my lemon. Seeing $5K+ discounts on cars with $56K and change stickers. I suspected there were hidden dealer incentives so seeing this thread was satisfying...

I asked my local dealership about it and they said they are not getting this $1k incentive and have not heard about it.

LOL. The old ā€œplay dumbā€ ploy...

I think they meant to say "Your not getting no 1k discount - but we sure as hell will"

Seems like thereā€™s a possibility that sales will really slow down for awhile. I wonder if Toyota plans on doing anything to help move units?

my local dealership is offering 0% interest in financing now on 15 Toyota models. It didnā€™t say if the A90 is included.

When I check the Toyota website for my area incentives, I only see 0% offered for 2020 Camry, Corolla, and Tundra's. Also the 2019 Highlander and C-HR.

Sorry to hear that man...How'd you end up with a lemon if you don't mind me asking? That bad of a problem?

The headlight recall. My thread is in the section about that stuff.

Since weā€™re all under lockdown now from COVID-19, I see no reason to even own a car until this is all done. I can walk everywhere I need to go until normal life commitments return.

Should be interesting. Once things normalize, weā€™ll probably see better interest rates, possible government stimulus bonuses/programs for making big purchases, low dealer prices, and tons of leftover and new 2021 vehicles to choose from.
