The MST intake is a good intake which is easy to install. The pcv hose was just broke in the process.

Hello everyone, so in installing my MST intake part #2 in the listed diagram above broke off as well. The portion that connects into the crankcase has snapped clean off of piece #3.

Will this cause majors issues? Can I run my car for the time being? Is it a simple fix of just replacing part #2 & #3? Do I need to bring it to the dealer to have it fixed?

Thanks for any information guys.

you will more than likely get oil residue where it broke off. You can drive it, but i wouldnt leave it like that for an extended period of time. I guess i should make aluminum -AN replacements for that.

I had the same problem. It's pretty easy to break. I believe this is the correct part.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is it.

Is this the hose that is venting the oily blowby mess back into the intake?

Most of it yes. I called Mishimoto today and still no production. I can't figure out where it would be mounted. I will wait and get it as this car throttle body gets lots of oil.

Thanks for this info, snapped mine today. Ended up super gluing back together for now until I can order a new part.

But disappointed this isn't mentioned more often in install videos to proceed with caution, it's such a fragile piece and snapped off quite easily.

Mst should include one in the kit. I barley applied any pressure to it and it snapped.

Totally agree, it broke super easily. At least make special mention of it in the install guide. Maybe had to do the install in warmer weather so it would flex more?

Easy to purchase part from Toyota and really doesn't do a whole lot anyway so not critical. Mine is still holding from super glue back to together.

Hopefully a Supra
And is yours have a little oil residue coming out like mine? Lol. Seems to be common.
I have oil residue coming from both ends of the crankcase breather hose. Car (B48) has 3k miles on it. I wouldn't say the amount is alot...but you can definitely tell that significant amount is present. Is that normal? Or a sign of a bad/defective hose that needs to be replaced?

Hello! Fellow B58 owner here just looking for answers if anyone has any info here. My M240i had some serious PCV issues recently, resulting in a new valve cover, plugs, and fuel injector gaskets. Crankcase pressure got to 93mBAR when normal is measured at 20-50.

I noticed the OG B58 from my M240i has this breather valve on top of the valve cover:

But the TU Toyota uses instead has the hose that broke for OP. It does not have the breather valve according to this screen grab from the YouTube teardown.

Does anyone have any other info on how the Toyota system works? I’d like to try to prevent another failure, as the original failure was at a mere 52,000 miles.
