A month or two ago, I installed an intake on my car and the car runs as expected. Yesterday, I was cleaning the engine bay and bumped the intake. I noticed it was very wiggly / loose. When I checked it out, it turns out the wiggly-ness was because of the factory 90 degree adapter that connects the airbox and the turbo.

Since this was a while back, I dont remember if the intake adapter was loose from the factory when the airbox was removed. Is this normal? Did I not install it properly? --It seems to be locked in place and I tried reinstalling it different ways, but it's still loose. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this. Thanks

Believe it's designed that way. They are kind of loose on the N54 also since they just have a rubber sealing gasket/o-ring on the turbo snout and then the plastic inlet slips over and seals. There is no worry about it being super tight since there is no boost pressure on that part/side. As long as it can't pull dirt past that point should be ok.
