@tedan628 if you aren't planning on using that BMS adapter, I would buy it off from you. Otherwise, what a clean install it turned out to be.

so my buddy just called me and asking for oil catch can. the reason is since hes running bigger turbo hes been burning off a lot of oil and his charge pipe and turbo was covered with oil from blow by. this is exaclty why you need oil catch can..no need that gunky dirty oil coming back to your intake manifold and causing knock.

Yea maybe not so much beneficial when your run stock set up..but like they say "why risk it if you can wear condom and still have fun"

Yea it was my stupid mistake and trial and error. I cut the hose too short so i didnt have more angle to play around. I thought it was ok with the stock engine cover hole.

And i didnt want to run the car without hose on...so i decided to cut the cf engine cover. Oh well it s on the side anyways

Will it fit with the factory air box or do you have to use that exposed cone filter?

so the big question that everyone was asking if i see any oil on the catch can so far.

to answer that: i took the car on weekend quick mountain drive for 3 hours and when i came back, i check my catch can-> nothing in there.

but this is a good thing, that means the seal on the piston and compression still perfect on my car. with any new low mileage car you would expect the engine to be in top condition ( i have about 3000 miles). but i am sure overtime when i start hitting 10k mileage, things might loosen up and will start catching those oil blow by.

same thing with my subaru sti. when i had it low mileage, it was nothing. but when i start hitting 20k mileage, i start seeing those blow by oil and water.

My friend has abused the car so much and got a new turbo and tune. he told me he saw his chargepipe was oily. this catch can would privde some benefit to it.

So in conclusion, I would keep it on the car as part of safety measurement

OR it does not work.
The real test would be to pull off your charge pipe and see if there is oil in there.

Mine was coated in oil at 2500 miles and I got the car with 2 miles on it and have not driven like a crazy person.
You would not definitively be able to make an assessment unless you knew the state of the system. Taking a peek in your pipe may prove out that the engine is “perfect” or that the can isnt working.

It's interesting that Mishimoto has encountered a variety of complications with the B58 system such that they have not released a product.
