I installed Dynamat hoodiner paint protection in addition to heavy-duty aluminum foil tape on the edges. The hood is not too hot to touch after driving plus it does cut some engine noise so if you want to make your Supra like a nice touring car then do it to to protect the paint as well!

You may be one of the few people trying to lower engine sound :)

I am actually planning on using dynamat and other sound deadening variants towards inside as tire/wind/etc. noise levels inside the cabin is not too different from the cheaper 86... only thing keeping me from doing this is once I disassemble and reassemble I'm afraid of getting rattles that were not there to begin with.

hahaha! Itā€™s my daily drive and I like a good noise. I can still hear the engine noise when I lower my windows but yea even in sport mode with windows up engine noise doesnā€™t really make to the cabin because I sound deadening the entire interior of the car ā€œprofessional installed by an aftermarket sound shop ā€œ so yea I was quite mad about the road noise inside it really brought back the terrible FRS rattle and noise lol. Itā€™s much better now. But hey itā€™s a BMW after all

No! lol I actually donā€™t like Tesla plus the Supra still sounds glorious when I roll down the windows. I love driving the BMW Supra I really do.

Seriously why not? You guys know what hear does to your paint plus I donā€™t really mind the noise reduction and no the engine bay is still not getting hot from just normal drive.
