I got an email today from the dealership where I bought my car from back in Sept. They want to buy my car back because of "shortage of new vehicle inventory" by June 30th and my car has been chosen. Also states regardless of condition they can pay upwards of 20% above Book Value of the car.

Has anyone else got an email like this? is this a bogus Promo?

I've gotten mails and emails like this for the 86. Never believed that there was shortage and wasn't thinking of selling..
If you are in the market, call, try to give as little info as you can and see if it's legit..

Well I just called and spoke with the guy who sold me my car, he said they are looking to buy used Supra's at a 20% kickup to get into a newer car. Also said they will buy back the Supra without the 20% depending on condition.

Only if they can get you into a smoking deal on a 2021...

On May 25th 2020, when I proceeded on my quest to find the perfect Supra for myself. There were 940 brand new Supras available throughout the country.
15 of them were pre-owned with super low mileage.

Perhaps they just want you back in front of them so that they can steal your car away from you with a lowball offer and get you to buy a 2021 marked up.
LOL, the dealers are forever trying to get a "one - up" on the consumer.

A long time ago, Honda dealership wanted to buy back my 1995 Accord. And then an Acura dealership wanted buy back my RSX. Always from the dealership that I purchased my car from. Just another gimmick for them to make even more money off of you. These stealerships and their stupid games. I can’t stand them....

Update folks:

Went to the Stealership yesterday. They offered md $40K they said the market was really bad for the car and that's all they can do. I kindly left and made a comment to hire someone who appraises a car to know the product.
When the used car appraiser was checking my car had no idea the Supra came with "stock sideskirts" and said my my front Bumper was changed.... "Ughhh no, its just a lip that's added on to the existing front bumper and spoiler"
I laugh at these clowns.

Reason I went was because the dealership is only 8 miles away and I had some free time, curiosity.

Funny the market is always bad when you want to trade, but when you want to buy one they are a collector item and demand top dollar. These guys kill me! You have to be an educated buyer or these dealers will absolutely screw you.
