Correct. No tune. So with a tune pushing more exhaust the gain would be greater. Definitely a worthwhile mod.

When it comes to catted downpipes, the quality of the cats plays a big role.

Active Autowerke uses GESI cats which guarantee no CEL. It's more expensive than generic cats but worth the price.
We stock most of these downpipes listed with often better pricing + free shipping.
The ETS catted downpipe uses high-flow GESI cats, does it guarantee no CEL? Or should I buy the AA?

Also, when using a tune or piggyback, is there a major WHP gap between a high-flow GESI catted DP vs non catted DP? Didnā€™t find a clear answer about that.

As per Speedindustry 5-10 peak hp difference between catted and catless

Been running AA catted since December on a stock tune and no CEL

Tried it with a BM3 stage 2 for a month no CEL too

Based on the Speed Industry video I went with the CG Precision for the simple fact that it is 5 inches and outflows all the others. The first time I started the engine I was shocked at how much louder it is. I even had a momentary twinge of remorse, wondering if it was going to be annoyingly noisy. That went away after a couple blocks and I love it. I have no doubt I picked up power. No CEL in two weeks of driving during which Twisted Tuning revised my e50 tune to account for the increased flow.

Not that it makes any difference to me but I'm curious as to why you would choose a smaller downpipe that makes less power and is sold by the same shop for the same price, referring to the CG Precision.

AA making less power compared to CG Precision?

5" inlet is bigger, but it does eventually taper down to 4.5" outlet (CG) vs AA which is 4.5" all the way inlet to outlet

Yet to see any power increase supported evidence (4.5" vs 5" inlet) IMO both are one of the best out there

We offer both downpipes, power is the same

The cat is larger and has 20% greater flow according to Video.

If you are looking for performance over noise level, which downpipes would you go?
I like to be discrete but not over the top with noise level for a dp.

Anything with cats then, a little power sacrifice but helps with noise and smell. The Active Autowerke downpipe is really popular for us.

Since the CG Precision is the least restrictive catted pipe it is probably the "least quiet." I wouldn't say "loudest" because it is certainly not loud at all. Nothing like a catless downpipe and/or an aftermarket catback would be. I think it adds just enough sound to tell people something is going on here but nothing offensive.
