I think there is the ability to turn it off in the menu.
don't quote me on this, but I think the menu is for notification and not turning it off. speaking from memory here..

Whenever a phone is charged it warms up. That's really nothing new.
Question is how does it compare with a standalone wireless charger vs Supra's?

I now have GS20U and I don't have any issues with anything exceedingly warming up not on the Supra not on my Anker wireless charger..
I'm not the expert here so just throwing ideas. Fast Charge or QC 2/3 standard on standalone may be regulating the currents better than the 2.1A from Supra...It's also not sustained transfer. Maybe regulator/alternator is sucky and voltage fluctuates..

My old iPhone 6S or whatever it is doesn't have wireless charging capabilities so I cannot speak for that...

I simply removed that annoying / useless cover a while ago... Now it's a more useful storage space to hold wallet, change. etc...Also much easier to lay phone in for wireless charging...

Just place your hand under the cover on either side and push up to pop it off...easy peasy

I use the new Supra proclip holder for my phone...

Nice! I'm going to pull that piece out..
On another note, my note 10+ isn't charging, the cpl times I've checked it. Guess I should test it without my case.

Yea mine heats up when it's in there and barely moves the battery percent even after long drives. it's pointless for me.

Back when I had mine, the phone got so hot (iPhone X) that it throttled frequency and became unusable.

I strongly suspect that the case has something to do with this, I may play around with bumpers or a different case material to see if it changes once I own a Supra again.

same. id rather not put my phone there.
its a cool feature but mid-long drives really heats up my phone.
I use the USB out and charge it by wire.

My phone moves out of the charger if I accelerate too fast, I have a silicone case on my phone as well.

Anyone know how to stop this from happening?

Did you ever find a solution to this? It’s a constant thing for me...

Magnet, like they use on the car phone holder mounts... thin 3m on the charger...
You gotta try if it still charges.. maybe need to put it on the corners... Dunno how it'd look on your phone. If you have a case, you could hide it underneath....

Or put some foam padding under the holder above the wireless charger.

Or do combination and put magnet under the holder with some thick metal....or 3d print something....

Or unfortunately don't use the charger area, get a slim holder...

Etc...

I concur with all these comments about the charging tray design. Hard to get the phone in/out and I have an iPhone 12 Pro and it heats up like crazy while not charging very fast.
