Not much has changed over on Supraforums. They're still shitting all over this thing.

Not towards the 4 banger.A lot of people are starting to come around over on the VW forum.

I took a quick glance at the Corvette forum, here's a couple of gems that stood out
Translation:
"Please, please please buy my Supra no one wants!"
Still waiting on your ground breaking car of the year Corvette, maybe you want to settle for this BMW Z4 with Toyota badges?
The MKIV supra was an incredible car but the current version is not that. The lack of enthusiasm in the community of fanboys shows it.
Lol that’s funny. If they made that 4 cylinder with manual and lighter I’d be interested. Never mind, they did and I purchased one it was called a 86 trd.

The base Mustang has a limited slip diff. Dafuq is BMW’s excuse for not having one here?
Raul Rodriguez
You know it’s not a good sign when people are talking about the road instead of the car.
Zygrene
This car sounds disappointing. It needs a more rev-happy motor considering its modest power output. It also needs a manual. What's the point of a lighter, cheaper, slower Supra if it's much less engaging to drive?
Kevin Pytlinski
"not sure if it's even a decent sports car".....BURN!!! LOL, great comment and awesome review as always! That road is SICK by the way.
Hen Ryj
They won't sell many of these that's for sure.
Palindr0m3 me
I firmly believe this 4 cylinder version of the Supra should not exist.
gorrilaunit99
No LSD? Immediately trash
twinscrew928
Sounds like a kinda nice POS! You're too kind Matt. Stop pulling punches.
OPHeckler
That engine just sounds like it doesnt wanna live anymore.
Moe Lester
Hyundai is producing more out of a 4cyl turbo than this
Vipraz
Parts bin car.. dragged the name ‘Supra’ through mud. We partnered with BMW cause a Supra is supposed to have an inline 6 engine. Then why this nonsense?
Joel Hannah
LMAO, $40k+ for 255 HP hahahahahahaha
signfang
They should've named it Celica. Better yet, they should've just built the Supra themselves and put V6 TT engine and make it a little cheaper. Some might say "Supra without I6 is blasphemous!", but at what cost? BMW reliability and almost-BMW price tag?
SlCKB0Y
No way I'll ever buy this rebadged BMW piece of crap. How the mighty have fallen...
Kali Mra
Toyota needs to accept the fact that they botched the Supra.
ThePandaBeat
Give me a V8 Mustang or Camaro. This is crap.

Supra 0 - 1 Road
Michael Hebert
$40,000 for 255 HP, no thanks

Instead of using the BMW inline 6, I'd been happy if they used an upgraded 2GR-FSE with a turbo. As for the 4 banger version... Shouldn't have even happened in my honest opinion.
Michael Ouzounian
This should be called a "Celica" and the 6cyl should be the "Celica Supra". This doesn't make any sense.
Donovan Wallace
Should've just said celica
krocialblack1
With the new Nissan Z over the horizon. The new Supra is in more danger now than ever. Especially the 4 cylinder version.
monster289
Meh. A four-banger that gets wheezy at 5500 RPM? No thanks.
vir123456 johnson
Is it possible to dislike this car even more?
Lysergik
Big flop on toyotas part.
Qlasssic
So basically there's no reason for this car to exist. Got it.
charles mcbride
The new supra is a major disappointment
PancakePlease
What a terrible car. A 4 banger that revs to 5k and costs $44k. This makes the BRZ look like a super car
Ravenstylea
That engine sound is awful
Ouch...
What a waist of time video. No news there. All the news he has was put out 10 months ago. Toyota was building cars for Pontiac in the 90's. UAWU made it more expensive for domestic manufacture. BMW made the Supra super cheap for Toyota. They were already making the engine and chassis and interior.
