Steering Tie Rod Recall

Heard from a local tech there's a new recall for the Supra regarding the steering tie rods. Don't see it on the NHTSA website yet, but this could explain why even after my alignment I'm having steering issues at high speed.

Yeah there is an issue with wheel alignment and possibly tie rods on a lot of cars! I found this out myself when I took my car up to about 140-150 Mph in the car felt really nervous and twitchy All I can say is my car has less than 1000 miles on it Stock wheels and suspension and this is what I’m experiencing and be very careful when going high speeds! If your car feels similar get the alignment done have your tire rods checked ASAP

I've only had my car to 130. I guess I better go faster for the sake of safety.

Good luck. Ur not gonna find a tech at any dealership willing to drive your car over the speed limit and get a ticket and make their insurance go up just to make sure ur car doesn’t shimmy a little at 130 lol. I guess no one has ever heard of wind buffering or anything like that it has to be the alignment while ur driving so fast on a public road that u could never stop in time or the crappy road ur rocketing down thinking ur Dominic Torreto lol. How bout drive this wonderful car responsibly and enjoy it instead of trying to destroy it and then bring it to me and swear on ur life that u haven’t flashed it or EVER driven it over 70. I can see everything u have done in u because it logs everything like a BMW. U know that right? When it sets that misfire code at 130mph when u downshifted because that Tesla passed u and we can’t have that now can we? I can see ALL of that. PS Toyota can too as soon as I hook up the scan tool it transmits whether I want it to or not. I’m not bagging on u for beating on the car it’s urs and u pay the note just don’t ask Toyota to fix things that u know is ur fault. I’ve never seen even one of these cars malfunction under normal driving even under a little spirited driving. I own one and I just get sick of people talking crap about it. Could it have been better? Absolutely!! But we would have paid over 100k for it. How about let’s all show a lil appreciation for Toyota giving us this awesome machine and stop trying to poke holes in it every 5 minutes. Enjoy ur cars guys and please don’t modify it until it’s out of warranty. That crap makes my life hard because it takes me a good hour to find the crappy flash patch program ur buddy used to complete screw up ur fuel trim and make it run like a Volkswagen with a dead cylinder lol.

I was on the track doing a track day when the car was feeling twitchy and nervous Took it in for An alignment and that solve the problem it was a toe and camber issue on the rear of The car There’s also a video of a guy on the forms discussing the same issue he had
