Running full E85 is not advisable on the E30 map as your fuel system may have a difficulty keeping up given the fuel volume demands on this high output tune.

There are a number of sensors that have mobile apps connecting over bluetooth that give you the current ethanol % which are convenient.

Generally speaking in terms of bootmod3 E30 OTS maps, they're built and tested all around the World in all sorts of climates/ambients/driving conditions and you don't have to worry about having the exact 30% blend as there's always some wiggle room left in them and its easy to fill up at pumps as the map will be just fine anywhere from E25-E45. E50 and up you may have some issues with fuel trims getting too high but that's starting to push it anyways for an just an off the shelf map.
Bump . Do you guys have any plans on releasing ots maps for e50 or flex fuel ots ? Thanks

I asked them if flex fueling was in the works and they responded "no, flex tuning isn't available today on the Supra."

Got the Stage 2 off the shelf E30 map loaded. No traction in 3rd at all! Even this will need proper tires and heat in them to put down. Great work really happy with it!

For E50 tune, does your car need a flex fuel kit? Or can you just have the E50 tune and run stock fuel system? (Kind of new to this tuning scene)

If all you want is e50, you dont need a kit. But its recommended so you know exactly what your running.

No need for it but they’re working on flex fuel over at BM3 so maybe when its out I may add it if I get some time to do it

I have an E50 tune that I'm quite happy with but I see the Ecutek now has full flex fuel. Is MHD planning to offer this?

Correct me if I am wrong please. From what I understand the ideal ratio for pure gasoline is 14.7:1 (14.7 times more volume of air for 1 part of gasoline), and the ideal ratio for pure ethanol is 9:1. So, in order to burn efficiently ethanol, you need more volume of fuel. If you are running a tune that expect pure gasoline, the ECU will follow its tables and since the calibration is for pure gasoline, it will spray less fuel than it should. This would be a lean condition on the engine and it will increase the heat and maybe provoke detonation or knock, causing damage to the engine.

if you do the same with a E30 tune, will be the same, won't be as lean as with 91 tune, but still lean. Besides it seems that our HPFP is not capable of pumping enough fuel for a full E85, so maybe E85 tunes are doable, but, would be less aggressive. The E50 tune will deliver more power, since the HPFP can deliver enough fuel for E50, but not E85.

If you have a Flex Fuel sensor and a tune that reads this, the ECU would have several tables for each ethanol content ratio and interpolate between them to match the current ratio read by the sensor. I think only Ecutek provides this functionality for the Supra today.

Again please correct me if I am saying something stupid, but this is what I understand.

Has anyone tried VP fuels C85 in their supra? Any issues with injector compatibility?

At the risk of making a possibly erroneous assumption, ie. you are bilingual, your assessment is quite accurate and well said.

Given the fact that VP C85 is about $15 per gallon and I pay $2.10 at the pump for Propel E85, I won't be switching anytime soon. As far as injector compatibilty it is highly unlikely to be a problem with either fuel.

Great, and yes, thanks for the feedback, I need to improve still!
