Anyone else holding off on the Supra until we see the new Z? The latest info from BestCar says the VR30DDTT will come in two tunes; one with 300hp and 400hp. I tend to trust BestCar given their history of the Supra shown below the Z render.
Usually I would say yes, but the recently newly unveiled Rogue looks pretty nice.Should we be concerned about the Z's Interior...?
?...I'm not sold on the new Z. It may post higher HP numbers, but Nissan's old mill posted dismal torque numbers (Nismo~350/276)...unless they fix that issue, they aren't a threat.
i figured they’d be using a new mill...was just saying if it has high HP/low torque, it’ll be more of the same.?
It won't be using the old VQ37, I think 2 turbos are enough to increase the torque output.
The Z also didn’t have great gearing for a high(er) revving NA motor. It’s way too long to bang gears and made the car feel lazy unless you’re redlining it. The VR30’s powerband will take advantage of these ratios much better as evident by the CD009 having similar ratios to the V160.i figured they’d be using a new mill...was just saying if it has high HP/low torque, it’ll be more of the same.
Where does the info about 300hp in a 400Z comes from? BestCar? Coz I didnt see it being mentioned earlier....Anyone else holding off on the Supra until we see the new Z?
