What other vehicle were you thinking of buying, if you did not buy the Supra?

I too had briefly, emphasis on the briefly. Thought about the TTRS.
But I try not to go back to cars I've already had. Although not a TTRS, I had it tuned very well, ko4 turbo and stasis software and suspension.
The fact that the Supra was BMW based, and had the shape of a viper gts, clinched it for me.

Does anyone wish they'd got one of the other cars on their list? 2 days into Supra ownership and i'm not too sure i made the right choice.

No, Not at all.
I had Plenty of chances to buy what I wanted, And Felt Very Strong about buying the A90 once I seen the car in person.
My thoughts were, "As long as I can Strike the deal that I wanted" I would buy the Supra.

Curious as to why you don't think you made the right choice?

The 2020 Supra was my only consideration...

I owned a '17 MX-5 RF which was nimble but gutless, then a '18 C7 Corvette which was fast but not very nimble...And now a GR Supra which I call my Goldilocks sports car that's both fast and nimble...

My '17 MX-5 RF - Nimble but gutless

Now that I've lived with the car for a few days:

1) I'm not all that impressed with the quality of the interior. I expected better feeling materials for a £55k car.
2) I'm totally pi**ed off with the vibration from the subwoofer enclosure. I've actually stopped driving the car and am trying to reject it.
3) I bought it over a 4-5 year old R8 because I thought it would be hassle free motoring. What I didn't consider is that the first model year of a totally new car is bound to have teething problems.

It drives great, but as a total package / daily driver I'm just not that impressed.

Fair enough, thanks for your feedback.

I was looking at the Alfa Romeo 4C, but they quit making it & all articles said the reliability was terrible. Also like the Jaguar F-Type sports car, but again afraid of reliability, plus this body style had been available a few years. Supra, don’t let me down since you’re actually a BMW!

Actually, I also considered the Civic Type R and the Lexus RC F. Civic seemed too flashy & ‘young’ for me & Lexus reviews made it sound not sporty (performance) enough.
Also a used Porsche 718, but afraid of the maintenance costs.
I hadn’t bought a new car since ‘08, so prices around $50k were hard to get my mind around.

Oh come one, your 4Runner isn't fast enough for you? Mine's a rocketship! In all seriousness, I would probably buy a GTR if depreciation is your biggest concern. To me, it seems it's likely to follow the same valuation curve as the MKIV as it is already a bonafide legend. It kinda sucks as a daily though, so take that into consideration.
A lot of really good other vehicle options listed here. It's one I'm struggling with currently. Need something with speed in my life. I've had like 25 different cars over the past 15 years or so and the last several years I haven't had a sporty vehicle. The Supra is definitely on this list of options but I'm struggling. At it's price point you can buy so many different options. I think as for new, it's hard to beat for what it offers but there's a ton of used cars that fit around that $50k price. I like a lot of different stuff, 2 doors and performance sedans.

Some options I've been entertaining but am at a loss

MK5 Supra
RS3
Golf R
CTS-V newest gen.
GTR
Jaguar F-type R
C6 ZR1
C7 Z06
C63S AMG
S4
911 (997 or 991 possibly)
Cayman

One thing that constantly comes to mind when thinking about an option is depreciation. Some of these cars have a lot of depreciation that comes with them, I dont know if I can stomach that. The 911 probably makes the most sense out of all of those but they have extremely high maintenance and potential repair cost. Hmm... Options.. options..
You’re lucky to have had so many great cars! That’s a nice list! Love the F-Type, AMG & of course any Porsche!
