Hi guy's. I recently purchased a demo Toyota supra A90 from Toyota. Ever since purchasing the car I have an issue with full throttle pulls, the car seems to be holding back power and gives me an engine management light at 225 km/h forcing me into limp mode. After coming to a stop and switching the car off and on the engine light dissapears until I try a high speed full throttle pull again. Any assistance would be really appreciated.

Stock Supra is speed limited and your probably hitting the internally set speed limiter...

Hi bud. I thought the same thing but a buddy of mine bought a supra the same time as me and his supra goes to 265km/h and just sits at that speed hitting the limiter without giving an engine management light

I don't have a clever answer, other than suggestions: data logging, error code tracking. BimmerCode, MHD, BM3, etc.
Where are ambient temp and radiator/intercooler temps at?
If you don't have these tools, try the dash secret menu, it shows some temps that I can't recall now... Search is your friend.

My guess would be coil pack failure, or spark plug gap for fouled plugs

I have experienced those issues on a few of my brand new vehicles in the past.
2 vw/audi vehicles, 1 or more coil packs failed. Causing a stumbling at higher rpm, or which produced a cel error. 1 mini jcw, 1 bmw. All were turbo charged , and had coil pack TSB'
(Technical Service Bulletin issued.)

Over spark or under spark, or running race gas can develope fouled spark plug/ mis firing at high rpm. Due to improper gap.
This issue could be bad fuel, or fuel pump related also.

As you suggested, take it to the dealer and let them document the issue for further and future discoveries.

Is the car stock? How many miles are on it? If its stock I would have the dealer look at it since there is a code popping they should be able to get some data.

As for plugs I actually did have an M340i I worked on with some pretty banged up plugs at 10k miles.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for all the input. Managed to find what was the issue. It was the o2 sensor. Changed it and now everything is running perfectly.
