Well, to my knowledge, we just finished up tuning the first 2021 Supra via EcuTek. These were definitely proven to be very different than 2020s.

We didn’t shoot for any glory numbers here. Just a basic, conservative daily driver in a hot dyno room. We have seen some other 2021s dyno over 380whp stock, but on our dyno, you can seen it was lower.

This customer purchased a downpipe from us that we installed after getting a baseline on the car. Attached are all the graphs.

We have a Baseline. Stock car with catless downpipe (no tune). Stock car with catless downpipe and an Visconti Tuning Tune via EcuTek.

These things look very promising and we can’t wait until we get one that we can push the limits on!

So for those of you wondering, yes, we can tune 2021’s with no problem. Give me a shout if you’re ready to make some jam.

You got comparison to a 2020 supra tune on stage2 93? Those number seems really close to what MY20 would make also. Good ups though.

As I anticipated.. Gap is closed in comparison with the older '20 model when tuned

Idk why I was expecting a ton of whp from the 2021 lol
Yeah, lower gains from stock compared to previous models. Looks like due to lower compression and higher "base" boost to compensate as many predicted

many people were expecting the 6port head to change the game and be some superhero engine. But as i stated in many of the posts prior, the 2021 and 2020 will both put out pretty much similar power when tuned. I haven't driven one, but i also feel the lower compression will make the 2021 a bit less peppy off-boost. The 6 port head is not going to make a difference until around 900+whp.

Higher compression with high octane fuel, say Ethanol or Meth will give better results too I would think, I remember Marin confirming this too.

Thanks for the info, as I've been wanting to tune my 2021. I traded in my Bootmod3 tuned 2020, and I heard the 2021 had a locked ECU.

Bootmod3 offered to bench unlock my ECU (which I verified mine was prior to the date that Bosch started completely locking them down). However I'm thinking about going with EcuTek... but I'm a little unfamiliar with the tuner.

Do you know if the EcuTek tuning system will work on the 2021? Any watch outs?

Does the EcuTek software have the ability to disable the engine light, when caused by bolt on parts, such as the high flow downpipe?

Also I'm VERY interested in setting multiple tunes, and switching between them using the cruise control button... how do I accomplish this?

Go to 7:05 in this video, shows the tunes are selectable using the cruise control: https://youtu.be/smaXu4MmDIA

If it can do this on my 2021, then take my money!!

I am interested in the cruise control option too! Haven't seen that.

ECUS with a 6/2020 -7/2020 and newer manufacturer/build date can not be tuned by anything right now.

Ok that's what I originally thought. Good to have clarification. Hopefully something can be done soon.
